This is SUCH poo, I COMMEND HIM ON WHAT HE SAID ON THAT STAGE. The drat is wrong with these people?! Its the media that completly altered the meaning of his speech from a truth to some kind of childish grammatical issue.. I really feel they just do it to cause drating ignorent hysteria. |

It's not racist to transcribe someone's speech accurately, no matter who they are. Jeff Foxworthy has made a comedic career out of country colloquialisms and no one thinks it's racist at all. |

@jtrebowski: Obama was speaking with an emphasis on "dropping gs". When Hillary Clinton did it at that black church as a characature, like Obama was doing here, it was transcribed as such.
Sooooo yes. You you talk funny on purpose, someone writing an article will transcribe it that way. This is just an excuse to draw the race card.
I mean, what if the person who transcribed this was black? Is it still racist? You do know this speech was made while talking to the Congressional Black Caucus right? Maybe that's why he was talking like that. Does that make him racist, since he is half white? |

I read this story on Yahoo, the assumption is that if you quote a black person and drop the "g" in your written quote, you are a racist.
But the title of the great Bob Dylan song was "Blowin' in the Wind"
Is it anti-semitic if I write the title the way he says it and I don't correct the title in my writing as "Blowing in the Wind" ? |
