Alright, allow me to clear things up. When he is shooting from the hip, you can clearly hear the cycle rate has been turned down to about 800rpm. A large drop from the nearly 3000rpm when he was firing it on the pedestal mount. If he had it on the normal speed, he would have been knocked over, but since the cyclic rate was greatly reduced, it was easily controllable. |

It's called a "mini-gun" because it is essentially a miniaturized 7.62mm version of the General Electric M61 20mm Gatling gun that is installed on many models of modern fighter aircraft. In comparison, this one really is "mini." |
