Wednesday, August 31, 2011 1:26:50 PM @M_Archer: Good Call on the CRA, but you did forget to point out that it was started in the Carter Era and has been expanded during both Bush presidencies and during the Clinton Presidency. So when the village idiot claims the blame belongs to one side or the other, point him to wikipedia page as a quick primer on the legislation. I don't blame the democrats in congress who pushed for this or the presidents who signed the legislation, I blame the people in America for voting the bums in or being too lazy to go to the voting booth to begin with. As George Carlin said: Lazy, greedy people vote in politicians who will let them continue to be lazy and greedy. [not an exact quote, deal with it] |

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 12:10:45 PM @MrBored123: Wrong. Every single recession/depression in history was caused by, or only made possible by government controls--this one is no exception. After 9/11, the federal reserve dropped their interest rates ridiculously low to ENCOURAGE banks to spend. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Community Reinvestment Act bullied banks into giving subprime loans and provided a safety net for them. Like I said, throughout history, the statists have always been blaming problems caused by their regulations on the free market. This recession would not have been possible if the state and economics were completely separate. |

5Cats "Gerry1of1: Bwaaaahahaha!~ Got you to look it up!" I don't get it. I googled, it gave a definition... Is that the whole joke? If there's more I must be giving you a really big laugh now 'cause I really don't get it. I think my suggested google search was funnier. Good luck, 5Cats, working on that sense of humor |

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 6:58:13 AM Thwe use of Hitler is appropriate considering barry rose to power on the coat tails of others much like AH did. Remember Hitler was a hero and a savior to the working class when he got started too. Hitler was a great speaker as well. He had powerful allies in the government, particularly in the military. We all know how that turned out. History is about to repeat itself, only the American public is armed much better than the jews in Europe were. Remember the 2nd ammendment was written to guarantee the abililty of the people to forcefully depose the government, should the need arise. |

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 6:39:04 AM This concept was taken from videos of the uproar over Apple's game changing "update" to an industry standard editing software program, Final Cut Pro X. [url">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVV9wEQZmGE In the original video the solution is to turn to what was formerly the industry standard software, Avid. The ironic question is whether the "SCOAMF" creator suggests our next president should be, like our last one, a Texas Governor, former college cheerleader, with a reputation for not being very smart, Rick Perry?

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 1:15:48 AM This is kinda stupid but it's funny seeing people jump to Mr Obamas defense. Let's face it guys, all politicians are useless and embarrassing f/ucktards. Yea you can argue about how "your" guy is better than their guy. But anyone who actually wants to go into politics is pretty much a selfish c/unt who only cares about his career and his party. The second you stop caring about politics your happiness level goes up by 1000%. |

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 8:38:47 PM I thought this was hysterically funny! Like an LOL machine gun! (mental picture of a machinegun going "ha-ha-ha-ha" eh?) @AJ: iirc: Debt Bush inherited in 2000: 7.6 trillion, Debt Obama inherited in 2008: 11.4 trillion. Current USA debt: 15.4 and climbing rapidly. So in 3 years Obama has outspent 8 years of Bush. SCOAMF indeed! @Gerry1of1 and @FatNinja01: Bwaaaahahaha!~ Got you to look it up! (idk, it warned us not to Google it where I got the link from origionally) |

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 1:47:19 PM @M_Archer No, there was and still is almost no regulation of investment banking, which caused the crisis. If investment banks where more tightly regulated and liable for what they are doing they wouldn't have bought and sold bad loans en masse only to dump it on the taxpayer in the end. This crisis stems solely from underregulation. The new crisis stems from spending on banks instead of education and health care, which was the republicans plan and which Obama executed. That's why I'm calling him too Republican. He did everything they wanted and now they blame him for their own methods that don't work. |

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 12:12:28 PM I'm not an Obama fan, but this video was one hundred percent ad hominem attacks. 5Cats, you're not helping the anti-Obama/anti-socialist cause. @frenchroast: What are you talking about? Since 19th century America, there's only been MORE regulations and more taxes. FDR had his "new deal" with even more regulations. That's what the statists have been doing for centuries: they put crippling regulations on the economy so it can't solve its own problems; when the economy inevitably fails, they cry that greed broke the economy and more controls are required. Saying that we need more regulations when regulations CAUSED all of USA's problems is like trying to put out a fire by burning down another building. |
