Sunday, August 28, 2011 5:42:10 PM I love how we stuck all the tables and lounge chairs in some sort of order and then just threw in the regular chairs like they were red-headed step children. |

Saturday, August 27, 2011 6:10:55 PM @SarahofBorg "How does that work at all? The rain will overflow the pool and combined with the wind it'll still float away." Nope doesn't work that way. This is a common practice by resorts in hurricane/tropical cyclones resort areas. The rain water does not get high or deep enough and drains away. However if the ocean surge does come up that high enough. Then yes it will move the furniture. At that point the furniture will not matter much by hotel management damage view and insurance will be needed for more than pool side loss. |

Saturday, August 27, 2011 5:43:12 PM To further explain.. Doing this prevents damage and loss to their furniture because it sinks to the bottom of the pool, weighted down by the water. When the wind picks up, it will blow across the top layer of water, following the level ground. Some water will splash out in waves, but the furniture at the bottom will remain tightly below the surface. |

Saturday, August 27, 2011 5:38:12 PM @SarahofBorg They're not floating... they're on the floor of the pool.. This does actually keep them from flying off as the water weights them down to the bottom of the pool.. |

Saturday, August 27, 2011 5:30:58 PM Ohhhh... The dreaded catagory 1! Holy poo!!! I was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC for 4 years. Every years I was there we got at least 1 catagory 2 or 3 hurricane. What's the big freakin' deal over this cat 1? |
