Tuesday, August 23, 2011 10:52:59 PM I am not for or against Romney to be honest but I will point something out I didn't see anyone else mention. HE was shaking peoples hands. But you're right because he's not devoting 5 minutes of his 10 minute handshaking time talking to your untimely question he's obviously a dick. Politicians are about publicity and being in front of people (which his campaign manager probably nudged him along). If he talks to you for a few minutes but your long winded ass can't consolidate what you're trying to say I'd ignore you too. And I would see you as a person who would never let go of my attention once you have it. thus his dismissal of the guy. |

Monday, August 22, 2011 7:52:36 AM @Altaru Have a headache? Right now we take Aspirin or Tylenol, and the companies make money. With marijuana, we could grow our headache relief in a closet, and never have to pay them a dime again. You make that sound like a bad thing. It isn't like the big Pharma companies would actually go out of business. Plus, they already make billions as it is. I for one would would rather grow my own medicine instead of buying crappy, over-priced pills. |

Monday, August 22, 2011 5:35:59 AM Big Pharma doesn't make any money off weed. That's why Romney is against it. Those are his donors. They are in charge. He knows it and will throw muscular dystrophy patients in jail for self medicating. |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 3:11:25 PM first of all, legalization of marijuana, medical or not, would in an odd way stimulate the economy; farmers, packagers, shippers, ad agencies, etc. would experience an increase in available employment opportunities. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Marijuana, in particular the hemp from the plant, has a LOT of uses. In fact, it's better at many of the things it does than what we use now. If we were to legalize it's growth and use, the hemp from the plant could do a lot of damage to many industries. Also, marijuana as a pain-killer: Do you realize how it would completely KILL pharmaceutical companies? Think about it: Have a headache? Right now we take Aspirin or Tylenol, and the companies make money. With marijuana, we could grow our headache relief in a closet, and never have to pay them a dime again. |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 2:15:10 PM I believe that America should legalize marijuana for everyone in every state and start farming and selling it. It will provide jobs, it will take the criminal big bosses out of the game, less non violent people in jail wich is incredible expensive. I can't personaly see anything bad about that. more money, less criminality wich means it will be easier to pay the national loan |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 2:12:36 PM Why is it that everyone gets sick off of synthetic marijuana? Look at the first word of the name. See that? "Synthetic?" Yeah, just like ANY synthetics, our bodies aren't made to absorb it like we would something natural. Just like any synthetic drug, it has side-effects that can f- you up. |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 2:08:01 PM And finally, ANY of those could be countered if you had read. "20 And it pleaseth God that he hath given all these things unto man; for unto this end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by extortion." When used properly (and sometimes properly means NOT BEING INGESTED INTO ONE'S BODY, but used for some other purpose) damn near every plant on the planet has some use/value. Even the ones that can kill us in one way or another, so long as we use it right. As for some of the "au natural" drugs like Marijuana and shrooms, so long as one exercises proper caution and doesn't go to excess, they're mostly harmless too. Hell, marijuana itself IS harmless. It's the smoking it that's dangerous, since smoke of any kind is harmful to your lungs. That's why I prefer to eat it. Brownies for the win. Cake's even better, but I've only had cake once... |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 2:01:32 PM With that same logic Cocaine, Heroin, LSD, Psilocybin, and many other harmful drugs would be legalized as well. You are a royal class moron aren't you? Cocaine is derived from the plant. In it's natural form, as in within the Coca leaf, it's harmless. In fact, it's beneficial. People in South America drink it in tea or chew the leaves. Heroin is a synthetic created using morphine, which is a derivative of Opium, which has many, MANY uses besides as a drug. And Morphine itself, as a matter of fact, is okay as long as it isn't taken in too high doses too frequently. LSD is synthetically produced. It's not made in nature, therefor it's not even one of "god's" creations. Psilocybin is a derivative of the drug found in psychedelic mushrooms. It's not found in the concentrated form naturally. |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 10:14:06 AM @Crakr' As it comes out of the ground as Coca leaves, opium, or marijuana, they all have beneficial medical uses. Its once humans start screwing with to make it stronger the problems start. (And shrooms should only be used with care) |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 9:25:29 AM He answered the guys quesiton. He's not in favor or medicinal marijuana. What more do they want. Of course he's not going to "arrest them". He's a governor, not a police officer. Name one governor who ever arrested someone? |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 6:04:43 AM Stop comparing marijuana, mushrooms and lsd with hard drugs. the past two month I've been taking A LOT of marijuana and my friends took a lot of shrooms too nobody died. we go to a festival where security is high and no drugs are alowed only beer...two days later I'm in a coma, unable to breath by my self for 3 days and 3 days in coma without help. they would stop me at any cost for smoking a joint, but couldn't care less if I ended up in coma for drinking to much.... This is a sick world we live in

Sunday, August 21, 2011 3:01:51 AM continued...oxycotin. Third since you are a Christian and basically disregard Mormonism as invalid. I do believe the reference I gave to Gen 1:29 validates the point. Unless your saying the KJV scripture is wrong. ¶And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Therefore by your argument God is wrong. Discuss with God in the after life about proper usage of herbs. Invalid argument as the Christian God has ruled you by scripture wrong! |

Sunday, August 21, 2011 2:53:50 AM @crakrjak "Sachi: Under your quote of "God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth". With that same logic Cocaine, Heroin, LSD, Psilocybin, and many other harmful drugs would be legalized as well. You need to realize that not all things that come from the earth are "Good", most are very bad and deadly, 75% of all plant life is in some way harmful to humans." I guess that's why you have to pay attention to the rest of the scripture. D&C 80: 11 Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving. Hmm..I do believe it said 'prudence'. Second the drugs you mentioned are derivatives of the plant such as cocaine which is part of the Cocoa leaf. However used correctly as medicinal it has benefits same as poppy or ergot fungus. Ditto marijuana as a safer pain killer than oxy |
