Wednesday, August 17, 2011 5:03:10 PM This is beautiful, and so inspiring. The metaphor of the fly being our chaotic thoughts was great. |

Sunday, August 14, 2011 12:42:44 PM I think too many people take their understanding of karma from My Name Is Earl. Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning 'cycles' and is not based upon good or bad deeds but simply the wheels of duality whereas when one turns so does the other in the constant cycle of cause and effect. Nevertheless this video is not at all about the nature of karma or reincarnation, etc., but rather about perception in a two-fold sense with regards to meditation. First of all the flies represent thoughts and how easily they multiply when one becomes distracted by them when you are trying to meditate and clear your mind of all conscious thought. Secondly, again speaking metaphysically, it is your choice whether you become the observer or the participant in any given situation. Do you suddenly become fully engaged in it or do you remove yourself to perceive things at a higher level? Is it internal or external where you find your peace, etc. |

Sunday, August 14, 2011 12:09:25 PM Nice. I feel as if the video is saying that you will find peace in your environment, if you first find peace within yourself. Though I'm still not entirely sure what this has to do with Karma. |

Sunday, August 14, 2011 10:43:38 AM I think the whole idea in general was pretty epic. I liked it a lot. Maybe it's because I'm a buddhist, but I still loved it. Also, @Nighthack, you are so wrong... just so wrong... It's reincarnation that you're thinking of, not karma. Karma is like sin and good deeds. You do something bad, bad stuff happens to you. Same with good deeds. |

Sunday, August 14, 2011 9:37:16 AM @NightHack, For the most part we try to keep the comment the user included with their submission. But we have changed them on occasion. This was the original comment the user submitted and indeed reflects karma. There are many definitions of karma it seems but I can't find one referring to reincarnation in the physical sense. The reincarnation in karma is more metaphorical. |

Sunday, August 14, 2011 9:26:04 AM Nicely done, apart from the very unfortunate error that the samurai's sword is tucked into his belt with the edge facing down, which is incorrect. Also, once again I-A-B drops the ball on the caption: the man did not die and be reborn as something else. This video has nothing to do with Karma. |
