Saturday, August 13, 2011 7:51:56 AM Wheatley was one of the main characters from Portal 2. And why the puppet? Why not. As to why he blinked, it's hard to be a character when you're a still picture. |

Friday, August 12, 2011 4:35:24 PM @Steelgrid First, you are WAY to excited. Second, I'm pretty sure you can't patent anything that's really only stolen stuff. |

Friday, August 12, 2011 1:27:58 PM Sorry about the triple post..... The model could also include a potato "docking station" for the times when it is not really plugged into a potato. AHH you could make a toy line. A talking Wheatley and GladoS Separate cores that could both attach to a main computer body. |

Friday, August 12, 2011 1:23:26 PM I wonder how much it would cost to get a patent for a GladoS model that has preprogrammed phrases and lights that work that can actually run on a potato. I mean, how cool would that be, and it is completly plausible!!! You just take the toy out of the package, attach the electrodes to the bottom of the toy, slam it into a potato and then press the yellow "Eye" of Glados to make it ligght up and it would say a phrase.... I think I seriously need to go blueprint it and patent it...NOW!!! |

Friday, August 12, 2011 9:59:53 AM @Lucky2u in the game wheatley's eyelids are flat and move up and down so obviously in real life they would slide straight up through his casing but the puppet is made with angled ones that slide back into the... "head" |

Friday, August 12, 2011 7:51:38 AM Perhaps it's a sign of advancing age that I have no clue what a Wheatley is. |

Friday, August 12, 2011 7:42:14 AM @Ralcuparta: Of course it's less complex - but it's still impressive that they managed to get the same feel and look of Wheatley. The problem in the game IIRC was that the eyelids were larger than the actual ball of whateley's eye, and the curve of the sphere would have prevented them from sliding back - and so I'm impressed that the creator managed to keep the model looking so similar while not running into the same issue. that's all. |

Friday, August 12, 2011 6:29:24 AM Are you guys seriously discussing the "physical impossibility" thing from the developer comments or is this all trolling? It's pretty obvious that the in-game model is MUCH more complex than this puppet. |
