Sachi001-"Especially a resume that doesn't list contact information on former employers and universities" Linkedin doesn't directly ask for that information. I have an account there and it doesn't include spaces for contact information. I'm not saying that this guy isn't a fake or is a fake, but Linkedin simply doesn't ask for this stuff. Also, it was indeed harder for african-americans to get into the Ivy Leagues, but not impossible. I give this guy the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you Gerry...for sticking it to Klamz. It's so hard to pursue the things you love but then there are no jobs out there. I am an English major, thinking that may be pretty versatile, but I am so worried. I want to pursue graduate studies in Wales for Medieval history but of course there will be no jobs for that. It's so tough right now. Just finding work at a McDonalds is really hard :( I am from around the Cleveland area too so I know exactly what this man is talking about. Everything here is dead...and the town I live in is an absolute ghost town. It's a terrible time to be graduating from college. Maybe 2012 will kills us all and spare us the struggle of finding work...haha...

I was lucky enough to have contacts out of college that helped me start up my business, but my best friend with a masters in political science(yes not the best field) has been out of work for almost 2 years now. He has applied for jobs in all fields and has even been turned down for busser work. Most places say he is overqualified for them, or are extremely picky about skills in obsolete equipment. I let him live at my place and offer him work whenever I need extra help, but he has no family and could easily have been out on the streets like this man. Stories like this make me appreciate what I have.

Klamz -
"As a general rule if you are stupid enough to get a degree and can't get a job without it, you in fact are an idiot "

Looks like someone's had it too easy.... don't worry Klamz, Life will send some kicks your way. I just hope the kicks are video'd so we get to see them

Especially a resume that doesn't list contact information on former employers and universities, was out of work for 17 years in between his last two jobs, and at the age of 17 started Dartmouth College in the age where it was extremely difficult as a black man to get into an Ivy League school. Yep a lot of BS I do believe I smell, and so do many other employers.

Ahhh. From the land of opportunity to the land of nopportunity in 100 years.

Why are people finding this so hard to believe? This country is falling apart in front of our eyes, man. If you live here and can't see it, you're in denial.

See, this is what pisses me off about *some* Conservative Americans, and their assumptions on how socialism is somehow inherently evil. I've heard time and time again, how people who don't have a job are lazy-ass bastards who simply haven't tried hard enough. And the corollory: That people who are now wealthy have earned that in sweat and tears.

Guess what? Both are bullsh*t. Some hard-working people find themselves out of a job, especially in this tumultuous economic climate. And likewise, some rich-boys inherit their father's fortune when he dies.

What does a 12% flat tax rate mean to a white, upper-class American? A slightly smaller yacht. What does it mean to a regular person? Spending the night hungry.

I'm no Bill Gates, but I do alright. And I retain that *SENSIBLE* wealth distribution is a good thing.

Real reason for this green thing. College students, realizing the lack of job market, learn to live off the land.
Do they have urban camping courses?

"I see no proof that he has any degrees at all."

Cause- yeah, most people carry their degrees in their back pockets.
