Wednesday, August 10, 2011 5:24:16 AM I call false advertising on this post. This is not entrapment. Just because the police setup a trap doesn't make it entrapment. |

Monday, August 08, 2011 8:33:31 PM The woman has to pay child support if it's the other way around, what's your point? etc etc.. Nope. The woman can choose to get an abortion well ahead of time. My point is that the woman has all the power in this no matter how you look at it. Therefore it doesn't make sense to force the man to pay child support if he didn't agree to the kid in the first place. But he is 50% responsible for it's creation. Not really. He's 50% responsible for it's conception. Big difference. |

Monday, August 08, 2011 1:21:05 PM This isn't Georgia. This is Opelika, AL. The largest city near Auburn (but it's still pretty tiny). And this is the best idea ever. We get Iron Bowl tickets every year and they are like gold in Alabama. We've sold some relatively crappy tickets for as much as 1,000 a piece before. |

Monday, August 08, 2011 5:16:25 AM @agentsmith WRONG The first case IS NOT entrapment because the suspect was ready and willing to commit a crime i.e. purchasing narcotics. The second case IS entrapment as it is implied the suspect believed he was buying something innocuous (chocolate coins) when in fact he was buying a narcotic that was wrapped in a similar fashion. As you put it he was tricked. The idea of commiting a crime came from the officer. |

Monday, August 08, 2011 3:52:00 AM Entrapment is trying to GET you to commit a crime, then arresting you when you do. this is just being sneaky to catch some worthless non-nice individuals. hahaahha |

Monday, August 08, 2011 12:28:38 AM Probably cost all of $5 to print up and send the letters, $50 to set the joint up to look like a celebration then just fill it with cops wearing sports jerseys they probably already owned. Thats budged law enforcement right there. |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 7:18:55 PM @cajun247 "NOT entrapment: Cop: "Wanna buy some weed?" Suspect: "Yeah $50 worth" Cop: "You're under arrest!" Entrapment: Cop: "Wanna buy some 'chocolate coins'?" You: "I'll take 50 of those." Cop: "You're under arrest!"" your first example absolutely could constitute entrapment. This is exactly the reason that police don't do stings where an officer is selling drugs to a random person. FWIW something similar could occur but in a much different manner. Any halfway decent lawyer could get the case either thrown out or convince a jury that your first example is entrapment. Your second example isn't even close to entrapment because he wasn't compelled to do anything. If the example you gave is exactly how it looks, he was tricked into it.

Sunday, August 07, 2011 6:34:25 PM Thats awesome and totally legit, even though arrest never really helps put money in the hands of the family. And how many of those arresting officers are guilty of the same thing. Oh well, at least my boys don't swim. HA |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 5:05:54 PM Not even kind of entrapment. This is just cops being smart and getting the criminals to come to them instead of having to go find them. |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 4:15:41 PM You know what fine I explain how being 'lured' can constitute entrapment: In both of the following examples you're actually buying marijuana. NOT entrapment: Cop: "Wanna buy some weed?" Suspect: "Yeah $50 worth" Cop: "You're under arrest!" Entrapment: Cop: "Wanna buy some 'chocolate coins'?" You: "I'll take 50 of those." Cop: "You're under arrest!" |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 12:59:20 PM As a mother that is owed 45,000+ in back child support, I find this HILARIOUS. Over the years my ex has had his support lowered to 25 bucks a month, at times, and he still did not pay it. My ex would go months, and sometimes years without paying, yet I have had to feed and clothe my son during those times. I HAD to find a way to buy food and school supplies. I did not have the luxury of saying "I can't afford it right now" |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 9:52:08 AM "Arrangements like this aren't made without just cause." Actually the Friend of the Court is one of the most notorious Government agencies for trampling on people's rights, and taking action without due process. Once the Friend of the Court has made up their mind, it also takes and act of God to change it. A friend of mine had his wages garnished, and was told he owed $35,000 in back child support for a child that was in his custody. He had to hire a lawyer and it took 3 yrs to get it settled. Take a look at these: Man jailed for not paying support of another man's child Owes $52,000 for child that i |
