Sunday, August 07, 2011 5:12:14 PM OhGodohgodohgodohgod I don't blame him. These bastards terrorize me all summer long, I HATE them. The outside of my house is like wood slats and they lay their eggs against it and then they hatch and climb in my windows, not just the small ones either the big ones manage to climb in thru BARELY cracked windows! I hate them so much. I have to keep my doors and windows closed in the sweltering summer or they're everywhere. I hadn't seen one in a few days so I opened my door for some fresh air and sat on the couch (opposite the door) and one flew in and landed on the curtains right above my head. lruehougheogeruguerhoguer I HATE YOU PRAYING MANTES. They follow me, too. I was sitting in the car with the baby one day while my husband ran into the store to grab something and I noticed movement on the hood of my car and I look closely and OH LOOK IT'S A FCKING PRAYING MANTIS WITH IT'S SCYTHEY CLAWS OF DOOM LOOKING RIGHT AT ME PLOTTING MY DEATH.

Sunday, August 07, 2011 1:45:59 PM We have mantis' here and I've handled several, letting them walk on my hands. The odds of them biting you is very small, in fact i've never felt like any of them would. With that said, seeing them hunt and take down a wasp is something else. |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 10:28:12 AM See now....Preying Mantis' are awesome. So it jumped on him...you brush them off, or you let them crawl on your head. If it is crawling on you, then its not going to bite you, it is using you for a vantage point. People and your crazy stigmas. |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 9:11:55 AM I would react the same way and I'm not ashamed. He's got healthy reflexes. Some bugs are dangerous you know? To survive you sometimes need to give up being 'a man'. I'm referring to evolution. |

Sunday, August 07, 2011 9:06:34 AM I don't care how manly you wanna be, it's still kinda freaky when one of those things just lunges at you. It's like, your first thought is "IT'S GOING FOR THE EYES!" Made all the worse by the fact that you really do NOT expect it, since they usually just chill and ignore people. Then suddenly it's there, on your shoulder, staring at you with those bug eyes with malicious intent... |
