Monday, August 01, 2011 12:42:25 AM @Snack Wish you could have joined our ranks in the physics area. Anyway I think that you misread my statement which implied that those without understanding tend to lean towards faith-based assumptions because of their deficiencies. The converse is false though. |

Friday, July 29, 2011 5:35:33 PM It is so funny that so called "scientist" still believe Man is causing "Global Warming", oops I mean "Climate Change". They use to believe we were causing the Next Ice Age. I call your bluff: Provide references to scientists who currently think that human activity is a factor in climate change and who in the past said that humans were causing the next ice age. You can't, can you? But that won't stop you continuing to claim it's true, will it? You don't need evidence because you have faith that you're right. I'm old enough to remember the "ice age cometh!" fad *in the news media* in the 1970s. Note "news media", not "scientists". It went like this: Scientist: The evidence indicates that interglacial periods in the past were usually shorter than the one we are currently in. Newspaper: SCIENTISTS SAY ANOTHER ICE AGE WILL HAPPEN SOON! |

Friday, July 29, 2011 9:26:16 AM Knight 3000 Yah I agree, why review the scientific results from the people who have studied the problem for the past few decades and try to pinpoint the flaw in those studies when you can just summarily dismiss those studies by saying, you scientists are stupid. |

Friday, July 29, 2011 6:40:12 AM Did Bill Nye get a face lift? I can't stop staring at his eyebrows that seem to point to the sky. |

Friday, July 29, 2011 4:53:25 AM @knight3000 "They use to believe we were causing the Next Ice Age." You mean scientists changed their views based on new evidence and knowledge? How DARE THEY! I mean, they should just make up an opinion and stick to it whatever happens, regardless of what comes to light down the line, shouldn't they? -_- |

Friday, July 29, 2011 3:20:42 AM He didn't say Volcanoes have no impact on climate change, he said "Volcanoes are not connected to the burning of fossil fuels", which they aren't. Yet another Fox news fail. |

Friday, July 29, 2011 12:13:31 AM I love that fact that the Science-guy is talking to the news-guy like he's five. "a cupcake cools of faster than a big cake". Shows how much faith people have for the people at Fox News. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 11:01:24 PM "Everything on TV is explained as though the audience was filled with five-year-olds." Given that most Americans are as scientifically literate as five-year-olds, I think it's only fair. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 10:22:06 PM @ wowummwow just because one believes in God, does not make that person stupid, or bad at science. I believe in God and had plans to be a physicist. Please show respect to everyone. I don't say that because you don't believe in God, that you are an evil person. So please don't say that those who believe in God are stupid. For the record, there is no scientific way to prove or disprove the existence of God. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 10:13:41 PM "yeah, i never really understood why people are so afraid to believe science. it EXISTS in order to EXPLAIN things that we OBSERVE..." But... science has like numbers and stuff which is algebra or something, I no good at numbers so science must be bad. Instead I'm going to believe in an invisible deity because believing in a magical happy place makes me feel better. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 10:00:41 PM Bible says (somehow, never understood how) that man-made climate change is bullpoo. To my daughter: my deep apologies. I tried my best. Look, I tried my best. Trust the scientists. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 9:57:41 PM "To all you Fox "news" zombies....you do realize that Bill was explaining this science as one would to for a five-year old, and your goofus still didn't get it, right?" It really hurt to watch. It's kind of sad to see something that really that complex to begin with, get dumbed down even more especially on a network that mainly adults watch. |

Thursday, July 28, 2011 7:59:18 PM @SmilinSam im not sure why everyone thinks of religion as the opposite of science, because its not. There are plenty of ways that science works with religion. So honestly i think your just following an anti-religion trend here on iab and have no idea what your talking about |
