I don't see why Gerry's comment is stupid. There have been a number of cases where armed bystanders have stopped crimes and saved lives. More importantly, many potential victims have prevented robberies and violent crimes just by showing their guns, not needing to shoot. These situations are much more common than people know because they don't get reported to police as often.
If you don't like guns, that's fine. But many people use them safely and effectively against crime. To each, his own. |
