I agree with bardockjerms, the CGI here was terrible compared to standard quality on other films made recently.
I won't even pirate this movie, it didn't seem interesting at all, even if I love comics. |

Seems to be a bit darker imo, could just ofcourse be the result of the edit I guess. No point in this movie, but then there's little point to most movies these days. |

hollywood is not in the movie industry, they are in the money industry, thats why they make sequels and trilogy and prequles and remakes, because they know the first movie was good |

I thought the idea of a reboot was to add something that was missing from the original or update it for a new generation 30 years later. This looks like the exact same thing but with different actors. |

I could see remaking this if the original Tobey McGuire movie had bombed. But since it didn't, I really don't understand.
Actually I kind of do understand. Hollywood knows that it's easier to recycle old ideas than to come up with new ones. |

Reboot it with new actors, fine. But we do not need to rehash the origin story over and over. Everyone who would go and see this movie knows who spiderman is and knows how he got his powers. There must be hundreds of interesting story lines they could have explored and made a fine movie. I really just don't understand who the target audience is for this. What a waste of money. |

"successful series" commercially I suppose. The first was great and then the other two were products of a lame production staff that gave Sam Raimi the shaft. Would be nice if they gave him another shot, but whatever. Chris Nolan can't do every movie, unfortunately. |

nikkuchan, they decided to reboot so quickly because spider-man is such a big name and the originals were done. trying to continue the series without the same people would have turned out horribly. |

Why are people still talking about organic web-shooters? It was just a device to quicken the narrative instead of having to spend the time showing a high-school kid developing something like that.
On this trailer: It looks like it won't be anywhere near as good as the original, and it will leave people wondering why in the hell they decided to reboot a successful series so quickly. |

I don't understand why anyone would think spiderman having the web shooting ability from his wrist naturally makes any sense. If it did come naturally, and he was like a spider, the web would shoot from his ass... just saying. |

Anybody who prefers the organic web approach doesn't know what they're talking about. The original comic book storyline had spidey using web shooters. The webs were never organic until much, much later after a comic book storyline that had to do with aliens or something. Anyway, the web shooters always made more sense. |

No, but they thought a different gameplay mechanic would sell well. It was a very cool idea, but it just didn't have enough to make a game on its own, which is why the mechanic has been applied to other games. |

Doom actually pulled off the first person segments quite nicely. This is just a bad rip-off of Mirror's Edge. And Mirror's Edge wasn't even a good game. |

Hmmm looks like they are gonna go with the his parents were spies storyline, Gwen instead of MJ and that's cool...but I agree with Phoneybone..I liked the webs from wrists instead of wrist shooters concept...it's one thing to get bitten by a spider it's another to ALSO happen to be able to invent the web and wrist shooters. I like the grittiness of this version though. |

i'm a little torn with the "shoots web from wrists" vs "shoots web from web-shooters he made". On the one hand, wrists keep it simple and no silly plot device of "oh noes i ran out of web 'juice'". On the other hand, when the baddies figured that out and then CRUSHED his web-shooters, so.... Damn, decisions decisions. |

I really hope they keep the first person segments out of this film. The Doom movie tried it and it failed. Plus the graphics in that segment doesn't look very good. |
