Tuesday, July 26, 2011 7:42:38 AM In the Netherlands (where this clip is from, not Eastern Europe) we pay taxes based on the weight of the car, so this is actually very smart... |

Monday, July 25, 2011 11:45:13 AM There are plenty of places listing the numbers, but here's one that has a fairly large database that can be searched and sorted easily: Sorted by mpg That's showing combined cycle mpg, which is a standard official figure. The highest is 86mpg. They're not all tiny, either. There's a 5-seater estate that will do 83mpg. Granted, it takes 17s to get to 60mph and it will only do 107mph max, but that's enough for daily use. There's a conversion issue though - the USA uses smaller gallons. 80mpg here is 66.61mpg there. |

Monday, July 25, 2011 7:50:12 AM @angilion I'm not sure where your getting your numbers the most fuel efficent car I could find was a Prius getting 51 City/48 Hwy (50 Combined). That's no where near 80mpg and I severly doubt a car getting that kind of milage would be exclusive to Europe that makes terrible bussiness sense. As for this guy I hope he dosen't like his eyesight welding without the correct eyewear is very DUMB! |

Saturday, July 23, 2011 5:31:01 PM You can get very small cars with quite startling performance. It does take some modding and it does ruin the whole agility thing, but if you put ~200 bhp into a tiny car it moves a bit. You can buy Smart cars that do 0-60 in under 4s. Like this one |

Saturday, July 23, 2011 5:02:23 PM Why do Europeans always want these tiny ass cars? Obviously, that's not true any more than it's true that Americans always want huge cars with massive inefficient engines that do 5mpg and can't go round corners. There are trends, though. Most Europeans live in cities where parking is a problem and quite rarely drive more than a few dozen miles, often much less. Most Europeans pay a lot for fuel and small cars are usually more economical. Not this one, obviously, but when they're made that way. You can get 80+ mpg out of the really small ones. Basically, small cars are generally more efficient in every way for the purposes that many Europeans use their cars for. It's the same here in Britain. |

Saturday, July 23, 2011 4:37:23 PM Yeah, since when was the Netherlands in eastern Europe? Hopefully most would consider Germany in "Western Europe". Yeah, Holland's just west of that. |

obviously the car as it was would be WAY too big, you'd want it shorter for easy parking. ? |
