When people start voting for what is best - not for themselves, but for their country and countrymen - -that- is when we will stop seeing buffoons like Sarah Palin on the cover of a magazine.

If anyone cares about the national interest they would think twice about how much they care about personality over policy issues.

My parents are ultra-right-wing, conservative, holy-rolling Republicans living in the heart of the bible belt...and they think Sarah Palin is an idiot as well.

Probably because they blame her for costing McCain the election or something, but in this current political environement it's common ground damnit!

@auburnjunky: "2004 - 13% of registered black voters went to the polls.

2008 - 83% of registered black voters went to the polls.

Yes I know I posted that earlier, but to me, it's very telling."

Yes, I know you think it's very telling. You think that all those black people voted for Obama JUST because he was black, just like you think Rubio would "lock down" the Hispanic vote JUST because he's Latino, because you don't believe minorities are capable of voting for someone based on anything other than cultural identification.

But then, the last time I had a conversation with you 3 months ago, you were busy selectively quoting from Obama's book to make HIM look like a racist, even though you took actual quotes out of context and "quoted" him as saying things he never actually said.

And THAT is very telling.

The funniest thing about this is, Hannity edited the living hell out of this clip on his show last night and called it sexist.

"davymid: Neither of them have made statements that they would replace science with creationism, So that's just an ad-hominem attack."

Well, there's THIS from Sarah Palin and them there's THIS from Michele Bachman. That ain't Ad Hominem, dude, that's pointing a finger at assh*les and proclaiming "There be assh*les!". Simple, really.

Look, I think they're both f*cking mental. But the voters will decide, I'm just one vote. I think you'll find that people are more intelligent than you give them credit for.

"@davymid I don't really have a problem with evolution or creationism being taught in schools. Personally I think they should BOTH be taught. I believe people should have the freedom to choose for themselves."

Yeah. Hear ya. Teach the theory of geocentricity while you're at it. Heck, teach kids alchemy in chemistry class. Lead can turn to gold, right? Teach astrology hand-in-hand with astronomy while you're at it. Let the kids decide!

Deeply retarded, religious, mumbo-jumbo bullsh*t. Do yourself a favour, and stop talking.

Besides, no president can force any agenda being taught in schools, the states and local school boards decide curriculum.

@davymid

I don't really have a problem with evolution or creationism being taught in schools. Personally I think they should BOTH be taught. I believe people should have the freedom to choose for themselves. We shouldn't rule out creationism because science can't disprove that creation happened, but science has also given us another possibility with evolution. If you think science should rule, then let it disprove creationism before we completely take it out of the schools. I personally don't know which one happened, even though I lean creationism because it makes the most sense to me. Really there are more important things to worry about in my opinion.

Really everyone should question everything including the things that are taught in schools. Math of course is the only thing that is clear fact, but other things such as History and Science could just be told by whoever is writing the books. Case point the reasons for the civil war, but thats another topic for a diffe

Yeah, I don't like either of 'em. But not because they're Republicans, not because they're conservatives, not because they're women. Despite personal accusations of me being a kool-aid drinking libtard who watches to much MSM (looking at you 5Cats. I have no idea what kool-aid is, I have a PhD so am probably not a 'tard, and I don't watch news media of any kind)...

No, my problem with both these vacuous bints is that they would both have (Christian) creationism taught alongside evolution in school classrooms.

The US is in enough trouble as it is, without reverting science education back to the f*cking stone age.

Don't f*ck with science, ladies.
