Gerry1of1, they didn't have that much more information, it was all on TV.
As far has the just system being lame, it is fair though. You should not be blaming the system, blame the prosecution.
If you were put in the juries place, with no concrete evidence would you be ok with putting someone away? What if she ended up being guilty. I think the result would have been different if she was given life in prison. |

It's nice so many people would willingly join a lynch mob like in the good old days. It's just terrible that the state actually has to provide some real evidence and proof beyond a reasonable doubt in order to convict someone. What a lame liberal justice system. |

I'm happy she wasn't guilty. I hadn't even heard of her or this case at all until the verdict, but from what I gathered she has been treated as guilty from the get-go, as if the public were just upset that a child had died and wanted someone to go down for it whether it was them or not. If a jury of (I assume) educated, unbiased people spent a lot of time coming to a fair decision and decide she didn't do it, that's good enough for me.
I don't know why I wrote all that.
