Tuesday, July 12, 2011 3:21:59 PM @Fml- I don't know. He did address the fact that space exploration had slowed down, and that we have a lot of work to do right here on Earth. The thing that really gets me is that we're cutting funding to the Space Program, but our government is definitely NOT addressing the greatest threats to the well-being of human beings or the planet (as if those two things can really be separated). |

Monday, July 11, 2011 8:36:12 PM obama knew he couldnt make it as an astronaught, so the selfish prick shut down the shuttle program. But it isnt exactly the end of the space program, nasa is now looking into deep space exploration and collaberating with russia to leave orbit. Plus, they have yet to announce the details of the heavy lift program which will be run by the private sector in another "space race". |

Monday, July 11, 2011 5:36:23 PM I miss him so much... This made me cry so in a way its a good thing he died when he did, because what is happening with space exploration now would have devastated him. |

Monday, July 11, 2011 1:15:47 PM The biggest thing I despise Obama for was killing the Constellation program. He singlehandedly ended mankind's hopes to reach mars within the next 10 years, and put a lot of highly trained and educated people out of work.

Monday, July 11, 2011 11:49:32 AM Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov were my childhood idols. I read their books and they inspired me to read into so much more about astronomy, eventually led to reading some . To this day it is still a passion of mine. Their point was that, this world, this universe is a beautiful place, we're a tiny little speck, and all we do is fight and kill each other over matters as trivial as who'se invisible magic man is real. |
