nah the probably programed it to put a round on all the edges. thats what that cut that didnt look like it did anything was. Its probabaly just a window item to say "we can do this stuff!" lol
But actually I would say thats a robot.. a CNC doesnt change tools on its own, not that i've ever seen. |

I wouldnt want to play that guitar. The fret boards' edges would probably be sharp. Cut your fingers on it...

it did have "guts" and it's a fully functional guitar.. but that's not the point as said before.. that's a very very cool machine..
also.. this is how most guitars are made anyway, wood / metal and some plastics (most wooden body vinyl coated) |

Who cares about the damn guitar? Seriously, this video isn't about the guitar, it's about the machine being able to design the parts, features, and overall look of the guitar quickly and precisely.
Besides, I'm pretty sure the only reason you couldn't play it is because it doesn't have the guts built into it. They could easily use this process to make a working guitar body. They just didn't since this was only supposed to be a demo. |
