Your brilliant deduction is that Fox News deliberately reported that the President was dead, knowing that he wasn't, and knowing that millions would realize this in seconds, just to test how far they could push things? You BELIEVE that??? Never-mind the fact that a well known hacking group already took credit for the hack... And you guys claim Glenn Beck is a conspiracy theorist... lol - WOW!!!

Wiener didn't call the cops at all and didn't want anyone to investigate his posts. |

I actually believe this was just another one of Fox's regular everyday news reporting. They wanted to see how far they could push it, and when it prooved too much, they simply pulled an Anthony Wiener and said "We were hacked". |

@Squrlz A matter of standing for something, huh? Sure goes a long way over the net. Wouldn't want to sully the reputation of a website with such high prestige as this one. I also think that if these "cretins" wish to say they were entertained by this or that they thought it was funny, then it's on them and them alone.
But sarcasm aside, I respect your opinion, and although I don't fully agree, I understand your point of view, so I'm just gonna agree to disagree and move on.

Let me first note that no one on here, myself included, was under the impression that this really happened or that this was an offical FOX tweet. Everyone understands that it was a prank on the part of the hackers.
As you point out, I implied that you were finding the prank funny, when you evidently weren't. My apologies there.
That said, where you and I seem to differ is that when someone makes a sick joke such as this, I think it should be either shunned (by not being published) or condemned. This by no means "ruins my day," as you suggest: it's simply a matter of standing for something.
Why bother condemning a sick joke? Because silence cedes the discourse to cretins who crawl out of the woodwork with comments such as "I laughed," "entertaining," and "I wish it were true" (all actual comments below).
