Monday, July 04, 2011 10:43:52 PM Owning a $1.8 million trailer doesn't make you a dick. Parking it on the streets in Manhattan and hosing up traffic makes you a dick. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 5:51:10 PM I was reading about this in the *NY Post*, and the story gets a little more interesting. First, Smith is *also* renting a luxury apartment, less than a mile away. Second, he has a *matching* trailer, without the second floor, that serves as his personal gym. Third, the two trailers are parked right around the corner from each other, are clogging up the Soho neighborhood they're in, and ticking off a lot of local residents. Full story located here. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 4:53:01 PM Being an actor is hard. Can't spend a lot of time with your family... If you want to be with them anyway this is one way to do it but don't expect people to understand and applaud. There are hotels all around that you can stay. It's a lot safer and attracts less attention. If you still don't think that this is a good solution you can always make friends with people who live in the place that you are working and swap houses. Most celebrities do this. Big holywood secret. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 3:44:42 PM Whaaa... he's a scientologist? Nah. Anyway, that house is too... narrow. You might as well rent something in the locality. There are massive disadvantages with mobile homes. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 3:03:12 PM Did you guys note the 2nd floor? When parked, the vehicle's upper walls and ceiling rise up to create the 2nd floor headroom with panoramic windows. Wow. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 2:39:52 PM That's stretching the definition of "mobile". Some people spend more than US$1.8M on a home. I think this one isn't worth that much, but presumably he does. If he did actually buy it. Neagle's comment makes sense to me. US$1.8M for a studio to buy a luxury flat ('apartment' in the USA?) they can move to each set for each film makes a lot more sense. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 2:27:59 PM It's actually a rental provided for him by the studio. Time = money and when your doing something like producing a movie with a lot of middle of the night scene's it saves a lot of time having your actors on set and not in some hotel blocks away. |

Monday, July 04, 2011 1:24:40 PM Well I wasn't talking about his family, and I didn't say he was humble compared to Mother Theresa, but humble compared to other actors; eg "I'm Bi-Winning." or "I didn't steal the necklace, I just borrowed it!" (No, not talking about Tasslehoff). |
