Having thought about this a few days:
Racist videos like this shouldn't be posted on IAB. To those of you stating that it's a troll (which I doubt; I don't think she's that good an actress), just because something is posted as a troll doesn't somehow automatically disinfect it. If it's a troll, it's trolling with racism.
If posting garbage like this is acceptable, why not put up Goebbels's video montages of Jews and c@ckroaches, with the idiotic statement, "What do you think, IAB? Is Goebbels being humorous or just being racist?" |

One other observation here: People are so clueless about the ramifications of posting stuff like this on the internet. Once this young woman's name is associated with this (and it's just a matter of time, if it hasn't been already), there is no corporation in America that will hire her; the legal exposure is just too great.
Here's the scenario that every corporate HR dept wants to avoid: A minority employee is fired, a wrongful termination lawsuit is filed, and then *this* video is entered into court, with the argument that since the company employs a person who's posted something like this online, it was clearly a work environment that was hostile to minorities.
Bottom line: This misguided rant may very well limit this woman's career prospects in a big way. Hope it was worth it. |
