Monday, June 27, 2011 7:21:33 AM Could you imagine if everyone worked 70-80 hours. They would need that many less employee leading to higher unemployment rates. Ideas like this though look good and are very convenient, just knock more and more people out of the loop, causing more people to be unemployed which means the people who work 70-80 a week have to pay more in taxes to pay the unemployed their unemployment. |

Monday, June 27, 2011 2:28:55 AM @MissingOS - I work at a Korean based company with a subsidiary in the US-- the Koreans that come over here to work are amazed to only have to work 60ish hours a week. The majority of the 30-somethings (I'm only 25 and a year in this company) have worked for close to 9-10 years already at 70-80 hours a week with maybe 1 day off a week only. They work their asses off here, breaks that are required company-wide for an hour are normally cut short by them due to them being used to it being only 30 minutes back home. And yes, I'm generalizing based upon a personal experience, but from the small pool that I've personally worked with, I've never met any others that work as much as them. |

Sunday, June 26, 2011 8:17:12 AM In korea the subways are so much cleaner than the USA. There's entire underground malls to shop in the subways and have been as far back as 88 when I first went to Korea. Internet is twice the speed it is here and phones are much better and faster...couple that with the fact that in Korea you never stay home, you can shop fast from your phone and pay for things with your phone and not have to deal with cash or credit cards nor need a person to serve you...I can't wait to move back to Korea..America is so behind the times. |

Saturday, June 25, 2011 2:02:42 PM It's like Peapod in Chicago. You grocery shop online and schedule a delivery. It's more expensive and you have to make sure you're home during the 4 to 8 hour delivery window. And yes, LazyMe484, they will try to give you produce that looks used and abused. |

Saturday, June 25, 2011 12:35:35 PM This is an interesting idea, and it would speed things up tremendously, but there are two major problems that I can see: You aren't buying exactly what you see, therefore there is an opportunity for the store to easily screw you over. Good luck buying fresh produce over the phone. You have to inspect that sh*t every time. And, you get delivery, which means it costs more. I thought about the environmental cost of delivering groceries to everyone, but if enough people are driving to the store anyway, it doesn't really matter. |

Saturday, June 25, 2011 12:08:34 PM Tesco is a good NAME for a store, I don't see why they didn't keep that instead of changing it to "Home Plus" which is English wording in a non-English speaking country. |
