The ref technically did what he was supposed to, which is to make the player remove the jewelery (yup, a safety issue) but he was a dick to give him a red card... maybe the ref did it because the player complained too much? Referee's in football have an awful lot of power over the players and the game... |

It was a concern of safety but seriously if their game enough to get it done, then its their own fault if something happens to it. dont think the ref should have sent em off tho |

I've read the youtube thing and apparently he has a Prince Albert. Christ knows how the ref knew, but he did. Maybe someone mentioned it.
The rule says that you are not allowed to play with any jewelery, as it could be dangerous to either you or another player. No-ones allowed to wear a ring incase it catches someone, or an ear-ring incase it rips your lobe open. Same applies to c*ckrings.
He has to take the c*ckring off before he is allowed back on the pitch. If that it impossible (which is probably what the ref found out in the locker), then he can't play any further part in the match.
Technically he could have been subbed. If there weren't any subs available, then he'd just sit out the rest of the match. No actually reason to technically send him off.
