They never did, They remained democrats. Many white racists in the south still hate the republican party for emancipation and the reconstruction act after the civil war.
Even well into the 20th century racists supported democrats, Both presidents Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt were horrible racists.
President Eisenhower desegregated the military, Which started the desegregation of the whole country.
Sorry, but your lame attempt at linking republicans and racism is just an tired lie made up by democrats to make black people think democrats really care about them. |

When it was clear that crack disproportionately affected the black community they toughened laws specifically on that one drug. They are the racists they claim not to be.
Wait. What?! So you think they stiffened laws against crack because they were racist? Oh O bet it had nothing to do with the fact that it was the fastest spreading, most dangerous drug out there at the time, and that it was killing the black community. That wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it? Racist. |

I will not defend anyone who is on MSNBC. They are doing just as much damage to America as Fox News. Both promote division and hatred of their fellow man. It is sickening. I gave up Opinion Media last November and could not be happier. |

I have to agree with that Boortz guy. A couple months ago a buddy of mine was jumped and robbed getting in his car at the party store. 2 weeks ago, my sister was robbed at gunpoint delivering pizza. A few years back, some THUG held me hostage for at least an hour with a sawed-off shotty, insisting I was hiding money somewhere and I better cough it up. Another few years ago, my mother and a friend of hers got car jacked at gunpoint, the guy made her drive somewhere in Detroit, beat her up then literally kicked her out of the car and took off with it. I'm NOT sorry for saying this, and I am not racist at all, but EACH ONE of these crimes I just mentioned was committed by black thugs. But then again I am in Detroit, so the demographics really have something to do with it. I'm sure somewhere else, the majority of thug crimes are committed by the white kind.

Racism is endemic in the republican party. The deniers bristle at the thought of it. But in my lifetime I can't remember republicans doing anything to benefit minorities. They fought against the civil rights movement. They use minorities as scapegoats for our societal ills. They actively work to cut programs that lift minorities out of poverty. When it was clear that crack disproportionately affected the black community they toughened laws specifically on that one drug. They are the racists they claim not to be. |

I was excited because it was another FOX bashing post. And then I realized that the Ed Show was on msnbc (didn't know that before), and facepalmed.
Msnbc, if you're going to copy what FOX is doing, except cater to the left instead of the right, you're not allowed to yell at FOX. Just a tip. |
