I was going to make a smart ass comment but then I started thinking about what if I was in that car and my two small children were in the back seat. This guy is probably the only person in the video lucky enough to get out alive. This scares the sh*t out of me when I think about it in those terms. |

See my response earlier.
The guy did escape his car and swam to a nearby building rooftop where other people where.
The vid I posted explains that he waited until most of the surge had happened and there were no large object nearby to crush him then made a swim for it. |

@penguinazul, I was thinking the same thing. At this point, having missed the chance to get the **** out of the way of the wave, I'd guess you're best chance is to stay in the tin box, rather than risk getting mashed outside of it. Hope the car is washed to somewhere safer, or somewhere you had a chance of bailing.
With no obvious out, I'd eat the pizza. |

The first thought that came to my mind when watching this:
What the hell are you actually supposed to do in this situation? It appears as if the dude filming it never got out of his car. Should you get out, stay in your car, what? I would be utterly terrified. |

I know it must have been terrifying and that lots of people died, but there's a small part of me that thinks that looks fun. I mean, if you were guaranteed to be safe, if it was a ride at a theme park, you'd do it. |
