Tuesday, June 21, 2011 6:41:27 PM Wow, apparently stupid starts younger and younger these days. Instead of that, how about the tax payers stop voting no on every ballot to increase funding for schools. How about the states and the federal government stop spending their budgets on crap and actually spend it on what matters. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 10:48:21 AM "Sorry but, what exactly is your military defending you from :o" "Whiny Europeans and Canadians from themselves. Of course it's pretty pointless cause you'll just act anti-American but would never posses the balls or firepower to amount to s**t." Ah what? Right now the US military isn't protecting any domestic interests except for a wee little bit in the arctic. And even then, that job is undertaken by the Canadian military mainly. The US military is going through campaigns right now which don't have much to do with domestic interests. They are, however, a good deterrent |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 10:40:00 AM If they didn't fund the military, your schools wouldn't have anywhere near the funding they already have. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 8:59:26 AM If they fund the military and not the schools, there will be more jarheads to join the military. Profit. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 8:13:39 AM I'm not hawk but I'm pretty sure that if our military needed to have bake sales to buy bombs we'd be pretty well fudgeked. It would be nice though if instead of Bloomberg spending $250,000-$500,000 on new sirens for NYC police cars he would have saved that money to save teacher's jobs. Not a ton of money in the big picture but not prudent spending when the school system is facing serious cutbacks. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 7:46:09 AM It would be cute, except it's pretty obvious the parent made this and stuck it their child's hands. I agree the schools should be fully funded, but not at the cost of military. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 5:09:56 AM That kids grandparents carried the same sign back in the 60's and 70's. Nothing new to see here. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 3:19:46 AM "being a vulnerable country prone to invasion sucks" Oh please the U.S. and Britain for that matter wouldn't let anyone invade Canada. |

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 2:23:35 AM I've seen that quote before. It is a bit controversial. She's wearing Bieber though. Tsk tsk. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 9:35:57 PM @Krowley What about duds? Bombs occasionally work, sure, but without teachers the future has nobody intelligent enough to design new types of bomb. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 8:37:05 PM Sorry but, what exactly is your military defending you from :o Nobody anymore, thanks to our military. Take them away, it wouldn't be long before someone would develop the means. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 5:10:07 PM Funding and school performance are actually not as positively correlated as we might think. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 5:08:21 PM "Forgetting the fact this was a JOKE. What countries exactly want, or have the means to, 'invade [the USA]'?" I wasn't going to say this, but I couldn't resist: "I don't know...putting the 10 Commandments in front of Courthouses, and inserting "Under God" into the Pledge of Allegiance, I'd say that Christians have done a pretty good job." |

Monday, June 20, 2011 4:23:14 PM It's very cute, but if it were believed in 1942, then it would be written in German in 1945. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 3:20:40 PM oh, come on. The schools can piss off as long as we have guided bullets, zombie troops by synthetic organisms, metabolic dominance, remote controlled beetles, robot cheetahs that can chase down the fastest men on earth, and ways to map the entire planet by using the standard every day cellphone. how can an education compete with that? |
