Monday, June 20, 2011 11:00:18 AM Anyone else note the high number of teens and young adults causing all the damage? I guess because they have no respect for anything once so ever, why should they, no one taught them too. Douches. FFS, It's LITTLE women against men sometimes twice their size. How could none of the other guys step in save a few women in distress. Their loss too, they would got some serious hero action later on. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 10:56:34 AM It's almost like they felt left out since the rest of the world seems to do this from time to time. I heard it happens more often in Montreal, but that doesn't surprise me any. |

Monday, June 20, 2011 12:36:02 AM @Sway Chara's hit on Pacioretty was in the regular season, not the playoffs. The stanchions around the bench area have always been a trouble spot. That was a nasty hit, and I could see both sides of the argument whether it was intentional. There's absolutely no grey area with Rome's hit. He obviously targeted Horton's head with his shoulder. As far as repeating yourself, I feel the same way. Who started the crap first? Hockey has always been a self policing sport. If you start playing dirty, don't act amazed when the other team retaliates. Burrows and Hansen played like punks. I'd be ashamed of my team if they had players like that. I'm not about to claim the Bruins are innocent angels, but they don't play like those douches. |

Sunday, June 19, 2011 9:16:32 AM @BostonKaiser I really think you're missing the point of much of what I'm saying. I've condemned and blasted rioters-not defended. I have to repeat myself a lot around you, so I'll go over THIS too. It's not about who started it. Rome's hit on Horton was questionable. It was a late, all of a second but Horton had his head down and was in an awkward position so he didn't fall properly. Ok, we change the rules, broaden the wording so we can catch MORE offenders and make a firmer stand against head shots. Why wasn't this done when Chara drove Pacioretty's head into a pole in the first series? It was another 'technically' clean hit, but Chara drove him into it by the shoulder. Then Raymond gets tripped up over someone's stick between his legs and get's driven back into the boards with full contact in the head. all I'm saying is if you're going to call it- at least call it on both sides. |

Sunday, June 19, 2011 9:00:03 AM Just a little note to the people angry with the term "true fans" we keep throwing about. Yes- you see lots of rioters wearing Canucks gear, sure I suppose they probably like to think they are fans but they disgrace us, acting as they are. When I say they're not TRUE fans I mean that True Fans tried to stop them- Caring Canucks fans were proud of their team for coming in 2nd- We were the ones hugging strangers on the street and reassuring each other that next year we could do it! They were the ones that partied downtown for the last few months win or lose. We showed up the next morning to clean the streets, we condemned and identified them. That's why the term 'true fan' is used so much- We love the Canucks, not them..clearly.

Saturday, June 18, 2011 11:59:44 PM I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT NOT ALL CANADIANS DO THAT SORT OF THING. These people were young punks looking to start some trouble and not true Canucks fans. I am ashamed of what these young punks did cause now it gives a bad name to all Vancouver fans and Canadians alike. |

Saturday, June 18, 2011 10:28:20 PM Quick question to those that live in Vancouver or were there; is there actually any progress being made arresting those responsible? The news today says that they've actually made about 100 arrests. The facebook page has been working directly with the police and they've actually had a lot of great success. I meant it when I said there was public outcry- people have screen capped status updates and matched them with pictures of people committing the acts. Apparently a few dozen people have actually turned THEMSELVES in, knowing it would only be a matter of time before they were caught. Check it out =) facebook.com/vancouverriot2011photos

Saturday, June 18, 2011 9:29:45 PM I'm not a sports guy so I really can't understand why people riot when their team loses. Or when their team wins. It seems so sheeple, mindless ashole of them. |
