Monday, June 20, 2011 12:04:53 PM Let me guess, she's an English major, or perhaps an art major. Ugh, I can't stand people like this. "I went to college or University and took a crappy course literally anyone can pass and that makes me better than you" I'm going lean towards her being crazy, since she randomly tossed that out there, or some kind of mental disorder and she's off her meds. |

Saturday, June 18, 2011 9:58:14 AM yes we have freedom of speech in America, we also have freedom of religion, as well as freedom FROM speech and religion. I am sure she was loudly prattling on about some inane crap that even her friends were ignoring. Chances are other people in the car asked someone to turn of the hot obnoxious air. Yes you have the freedom of speech, but your freedoms end where others freedoms begin. If you want to express your freedom of speech, do it where those that don't want to hear what you have to say can leave thank you, come again.also, Indian culture is very different as noted by my experiences in a very large eastern immigrant area. What i used to think was rude is not meant to be, so when i go into eastern owned shops, I try to play by their rules, just wish they would do the same when in non eastern places of business. Oh yeah, Gandhi was a racist, I am not:) |

Saturday, June 18, 2011 6:32:05 AM Did I watch the same video that everyone else did? Shouting and profanity? I didnt hear either all I saw was a passenger defending her right to have a conversation same as everybody else. If this video is suppossed to be evidence of her wrong doing I think it failed. show me the video of the swearing and shouting and maybe I'll reconsider my stand. |

Friday, June 17, 2011 10:54:09 AM @Batmanners: Next time you're watching a movie and someone keeps kicking the back of your seat and telling her friend what happens next, I hope you're consistent and inwardly congratulate this theater-goer for "being who she is." After all, it's a free country and it's not like being rude is illegal or anything. Right? |

Friday, June 17, 2011 10:25:51 AM Meh. Those people can easily enjoy themselves if they stopped trying not to offend the people next to them. People are way too insecure nowadays. Insecure and scared of offending. |

Friday, June 17, 2011 9:35:48 AM @Batmanners I'm so glad that you having a good time and being yourself (admittedly loud and obnoxious) is more important then everyone around you being allowed to enjoy themselves and have a good time |

Friday, June 17, 2011 8:45:46 AM I don't like this at all. It's a free country, you should be allowed to talk and say what you want, where you want, as long as it's not talking about child porn, drug dealing, murder plotting or assassinaton planning. I am often looked at when I go out to dinner by the tables around me because I joke about inappropriate things to the people at my table, and usually they joke right back. I'm also usually loud. I am pretty good at keeping it at a decent level. but I know I would hate to get thrown out of anywhere, if I am not breaking any laws. I do know some people might get annoyed, but that is no reason for me to stop being who I am. What people I don't know think of me is probably the least of my concerns. I'm clearly only having fun, and am a happy guy. I try to keep the swearing to a minimum, out of respect. The same respect that I hope these people have before they bitch and complain that I am being loud. |

Friday, June 17, 2011 7:34:23 AM What's remarkable is the young woman's sense of superiority. Her parents evidently immigrated to the U.S. from India, but somehow their daughter never quite caught on that Americans pride themselves on treating one another as equals (generally). Her tirade makes it clear that she believes she is fundamentally better than the transit employee and, therefore, that it is an outrage that the transit employee reprimanded her. Here's a clue, Hermon: There is no caste system in the United States. |
