Friday, June 17, 2011 10:05:51 PM I was rooting for Vancouver the whole time... and then Luongo opened his mouth about Thomas... and then after they lost, the fans did this. Yeah, suddenly I was ok with Boston winning. |

Friday, June 17, 2011 6:42:38 AM HaHa - Love it - I'm a Lifelong Bruins Fan! I have developed a hatred for the canucks almost as intense as the diving habitants! What a team full of panzies - their captain takes 10 shots to the head by a rookie and just takes it? And they were favoured to win the cup? Please! Bruins have way more heart (and more Canadian players) - and the best Goalie ever!!!!! LUUUOOONNNGGGOOOOOOOOO!!!! |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 11:55:52 PM Yeah thanks Vancouver. You just reinforced stereotypes that us REAL Hockey fans have been trying to put to bed for years, not to mention the stereotypes of your Country in general. I hope Vancouver never gets back to the finals. @greenbasterd/ you really are a f*cking moronic retard aren't you? Keep insulting the US while you watch the video above, makes a whole lot of sense, dumbass |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 9:41:24 PM This riot totally gives everyone the wrong impression on Vancouver. The ones that started it went there with intentions of starting something. Hundreds of people were hurt and more than 20 cars were torched. 11,000 people showed up in downtown Vancouver today to help clean up and fix what they could, and if I didn't have to work I would have been right there helping. This riot wasn't even about hockey it was about some non-nice individuals who just wanted to destroy poo. I was downtown for Monday night's game and the atmosphere was just amazing. Last night the people there were different than they have been the past games. They will all get what is coming to them. I love Vancouver and this is just sad that someone who do this to such a beautiful city. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 8:52:22 PM Your team just won the Stanley cup, but your car, the one covered with "Go Bruins" bumper stickers, is parked on the opposing teams side when suddenly a full scale riot breaks out and your car has turned into a bon fire. And if you got cut rate insurance you can be paying the damages yourself. So get Allstate, so you can save money and be better protected from mayhem like me. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 7:56:29 PM "I can understand Vancouver being frustrated because the Canucks have never won a Stanley cup, but come on... This is just a pathetic fanbase." Toronto doesn't need to worry about riots over losing in the playoffs. lol Montreal has riots, but it's only a mere coincidence that there was a hockey game that night. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 2:39:38 PM I was downtown last night, though thankfully not in the heart of it and well-away from the rioters. I was more heartbroken to hear about their destruction than I was to have our boys lose. I am proud of how far the Canucks got and that's what I was celebrating last night. As for the rioters and looters, they are a disgrace. Please realize that these are not true Canucks fans. They were looking for any opportunity to cause anarchy and I think they would have done this win or lose. They do not represent Canada, or our City. Hundreds of citizens today flocked to the city to clean up the destruction caused by these so called 'fans' and we are making every effort through Facebook to identify those who caused the destruction. THEY should pay for what they've done but they can never replace what it has done to our reputation. Canucks in 2012! Go Canucks Go! |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 1:43:29 PM I live in Newfoundland, and everyone I know here was rooting for the Bruins. I didn't understand it, and just yesterday asked a buddy how come East Coast Canadians weren't supporting Vancouver, since they were the Canadian team and all. I was expecting a lengthy explanation, which might help me to understand this strange sense of national identity. His reply was four words: "Because they're f*cking assh*les". I didn't understand what he meant by that at the time. Now I do. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 12:25:09 PM These are not hockey fans. As a Canucks fan and a Vancouverite, I am deeply ashamed of what a few groups of hooligans came out last night TO do. I think, even if we had won, there would have been riots by these people. There were many fans, true fans, who were trying to stop the rioting and the looting, and many true fans that showed up today to help with the cleanup with nothing more than brooms and garbage bags. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 11:11:54 AM I doubt these are actual hockey fans: most likely they're anarchists, anti-capitalists and other assorted nuts. Vancouver is full of nuts, it's like San Francisco North, eh? Same people who protest the G-8 Summits, that's who's rioting. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 10:55:52 AM That's surprising. Vancouver is supposed to be a great city. One of the best in the world to live actually, but when it comes to hockey, it turns into freaking LA. I am no longer jealous of Vancouver. I now believe that I live in the best city on this side of the puddle. |

Thursday, June 16, 2011 10:38:51 AM Two of my friends live in Vancouver. One was actually downtown when it happened. The other wasn't, but she wanted to go downtown later. I convinced her not to. I've heard that Canucks fans are some of the worst (reason why one of friends in Vancouver hates the team). She's told me that they refuse to admit they are wrong, and also refuse to praise any other hockey player that's on another team. So after hearing how ignorant they are, I'm really not surprised. |
