I assure you 5Cats, I'm quite capable of forming my own opinions on Sarah Palin, for one. I literally have no idea what MSNBC is, never watched it, no idea what channel it's on. And to me, Sarah Palin presents herself as a vapid bint. Much as Bush did in his day. Dude, people are capable of making up their own informed opinions. You're assuming that people are by default stupid, unless led by the ring through their nose. Hell, you're starting to sound like Yousuksomuch. Anyone even vaguely left of centre is nothing but a lemming etc etc.
And my personal opinion on SP? She's dense. And again, I assure you, I formed that opinion entirely on my own, just from watching her operate her mouth. Amazing, eh? |

So lets count the mistakes, and see if I can come up with an appropriate analogy.
Fired warning shots (no, falsehood).
Rang bells (popular misconception).
Warned the British (occurred, but not the point as implied).
Wouldn't take our guns (re-imagining of a non-point into the main point).
This is by her fans considered "correct"?
So by comparison, so is this:
Einstein, who invented the Atom bomb (popular misc), for use against Israel (falsehood), after he was appalled at their use of terrorism (true but not as implied), and to let them know he would never be President of Israel (main point made from a side point).
Is that "more or less right" or "good enough"? |

5cats, it doesn't bother me that she said 'British' versus 'Colonists'. That really *is* a slip of the tongue and could have happened to anyone. It's the whole REST of it (you know the parts you and her other fans are trying to rewrite)! The whole "takin' our arms and ammunition and freedom and they're probably French!" and the whole rest of the stuff she was plainly and clearly pulling out of her ass! Why can't she just say, "You know what? I'm here sightseeing with my family. Please excuse me."? |

So, Palin said that he rode his horse through town, sending out his warning shots and bells to tell the British that they were going to be free. (I just watched the video on youtube on what she said exactly, not that easy to understand, I give you that, she's not the most coherent speaker of the bunch, I prefer Bush actually) Not exactly like Revere telling the British what was going to happen during an 'interrogation'. Which I believe is what historians say, isn't it? That Revere did tell the British, but during an interrogation, not what Palin is rambling about, now is it 5Cats?
It seems quite clear that she didn't quite tell it like it is, and it hardly matters at all. But she's the one trying to stay on the frontline in the media, most likely to try and become president next year. God help us all if she does. |
