It doesn't matter if the moves are practical. It's effing sword fighting. The entire Idea is impractical considering we don't live forever ago or in a Zombiepocolypse. Just sayin... |

This reverse blade nonsense has got me wondering, what can you do with a reverse blade katana that you can't do with a normal katana reversed?
Also.. how many iaido or kenjutsu kata include techniques for a reverse blade?

I watched an interesting series some years ago in which two engineers redesigned everyday items from scratch, as if they were a new invention.
One episode was on bras. Their task was to make a more comfortable, more practical bra for women with larger than average boobs, with the sort of support you'd get from a sports bra.
They came up with an excellent engineer's bra, developed using force and motion simulation software usually used for civil engineering structures like bridges. It was very efficient and comfortable. It was also so ugly that the model who tested it was, at her request, shown only from the neck up :) |

@MisterG That swing is supposed to be like that every strike with a sword doesnt have to be a deadly one. That aside she was purdy though i cant but help think that she does that with her hair straighteners every morning. |

I liked her muscles! A strong woman with more skill than I have with handling a (metal) sword (for all you dirty minded people out there) is quite a turn on for myself. But, to each their own, of course.

It appears no one here has heard of a reverse blade sword.
They were used by samurai as a weapon to defend themselves and harm the opponent without killing them, thus giving them complete control over how much damage they dealt to the person they were fighting. I own one, and it is an exceptional piece with the blade on the long "back" end instead of on the normal "cutting" side. |
