Wednesday, July 25, 2012 3:25:07 PM WOW, people are way too overly sensitive. If they wanted to lose weight, they could go on a diet. The fact that they took their fat-mobiles to McDonald's drive through, only proves that they are indeed fat bastards. But so what, maybe they enjoy being fat bastards. If i was that fat and had my own little tricked out fat mobile, i would cruise that baby through the drive through, HAHAHAHA!! |

Wednesday, June 01, 2011 9:45:43 PM we are not making fun of people who have had injuries and cannot move. we're shaking our heads at the fact that to maintain weight (not gain or lose) a 2000 calorie diet is approximately what people should eat if they're sedentary. that means not mobile. so, to gain weight while sedentary, youd have to consume about 3000 calories. there are 1000 calories in one large strawberry milkshake at mcdonalds. it's a choice, and it's a bad one that these people are obviously consciously making. i got on a new birth control that made me gain 20 lbs in 5 months, and thats without changing eating habits. i got off of that hormone, i got my diet underway, and even though some nights i wanted to rage because i couldn't eat what my family was eating i lost the weight. i think i'm going to try for a few more pounds, and this is all without working out at all. so i don't think mobility has everything to do with it. i think it's intake too, and thats a choice we make. |

Wednesday, June 01, 2011 9:30:17 AM I don't care if you have mobility issues. You could never get out of bed for weeks and still lose weight. It's called a diet. Granted, you can eat at Mcdonalds and lose weight, but you'll be very unhealthy doing that. |

Wednesday, June 01, 2011 8:22:08 AM Old, mobility problems, injury? Great to see you out getting fresh air. But it still makes you shake your head when a 4- or 500-pounder is cruising the sidewalk in a power wheelchair in order to avoid the least amount of exercise. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 11:48:34 PM its not really fair to judge these guys on the basis of a pic. i'm quite overweight and have serious mobility issues so when i lost 10 lbs in the space of a month it was a monumentous occasion for me. getting old is tough. i never thought i'd be in this particular predicament but i am and so i make the best of it. but being dumped on by people (like coworkers and physicians) who are thinner and more mobile than i am sucks. i hope you're not, but someday you may be in the same situation, no matter how good you look now, so maybe think before you scoff. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 8:17:42 PM You're fat because you take pictures of old dudes who can't walk? I highly doubt this research. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 5:46:04 PM haha oh my god, I love how people are arguing that there's not much one can do to burn calories when they have physical issues. THEY HAVE PHYSICAL ISSUES BECAUSE THEY ARE FAT...in most cases. And 85 percent of ones weight loss is determined on their DIET. I'm not judging, be fat if you want to be fat, I don't give a flying feck. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 1:52:03 PM I'm with you, BostonKaiser. My aunt has spina bifida, among other major health issues, and can't do much more for exercise then 10 minutes of some walking. I would say she's borderline obese, but aside from adopting a healthy diet, there's not much she can do in way of burning off calories. So I don't think it's fair to judge these people off one picture. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 1:15:05 PM If you need a mobilty scooter to move around then of course you should have one, your disability should not mean you cannot live a normal lifeand enjoy everything the able bodied can. So--- why not go IN to the restaurant to eat or take away? if you need the scooter because you are obese due to gluttony these things do not apply. |

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 12:39:26 PM Could it possibly be that they're overweight because they're handicapped and therefore can't exercise? Sorry for trying to be a voice of reason on IAB. I know it's futile and foolish. |
