You may be one of these people who follows the laws whatever they state but this case is an example of how stupid these laws can be. Laws should be continually questioned to make sure that they make sense and help humanity. |

@evanbartlett- as much as I hate to see this man in prison, our justice system would fall apart if police, prosecuters, & judges used their own discretion to decide whether or not to arrest, try and convict convicts based on their personal feelings about a case. Their role is to determine whether or not a crime has been committed according to the law as it was written and act accordingly. |

I live in a green state =D hopefully soon the Feds will let states decide there own laws on marijuana and stop arresting people who have green cards given out under state laws then hopefully after that it will be legal for everyone in a green state |

I think that marijuana will eventually go the way of alchohol here in the USA. Too many people smoke it for it to remain illegal. And on that day I will rejoice because I love smoking weed. |

This is a great example of why law enforcement must consider each circumstance as it arrives. The police, the prosecutor and the judge all served to bring about a gross miscarriage of justice. Shame on you. |

60 days?? Man, shut up and just sit down for a minute.. you'll be out in no time. Less than 8 weeks. They make it sound like he got years.
If I got caught growin buds and the judge handed me 60 days I'd keep quiet. Some judges up north (in Mich) give out a year to people in simple possession of 2 joints. |
