Wednesday, May 25, 2011 7:03:19 AM Phoneybone, I think the funny part about the gay quote was that the quoted politician said that the gay marriage issue IS GOING TO BE (yup in the future) the biggest issue in the LAST 30 years (yup the past)... |

Friday, May 20, 2011 9:22:55 AM You have folks who think that big gov should solve everything, to include their personal problems like being to lazy to work. Then you have the folks who think it would be better handled at the state level, where the will of the people and their actual situation is known. I don't care if its dem or rep. The problem is big gov buys into the big city mindset, and try's to force it on everyone, while most people with common sense have no desire to live like Californians or new yorkers. If you can't afford to eat, because you are just to lazy to work, then you should starve to death. Period. |

Thursday, May 19, 2011 10:29:25 AM Nubblins: "Not only is the government paying for a breast pump, it's paying for a car seat too! GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE MY GOVERNMENT WOULD INVEST IN THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF MY CHILD!" How about YOU invest in the health and safety of YOUR child instead of depending on someone ELSE to do it for you. There is absolutely no reason the government should be handing out basic necessities for children unless it is on a local level to people who really do need the help. I say local level because that way they can look the people in the eye who say they need help instead of blindly handing out aid to people who are probably looking for something free. |

Thursday, May 19, 2011 4:54:30 AM @SmilinSam - lol - thank you =) But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't last 10 minutes in office before being assassinated - i'd be ticking off WAY too many people... You're a woman - everyone would be too caught up in "first female president" to care that you were fixing things! You'd be safe! Let me know when that campaign manager position opens! =D |

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 7:40:01 PM the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.” |

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 7:39:18 PM This is class vs crass. Bush speech after capture of Saddam: “The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq. The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate 'em.†Obama speech a week ago Sunday: .â€..and so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priorit |

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 5:54:47 PM MildCorma "Gay marriage is going to be the biggest issue..." That is why I said "most". Wow, this man found one example of a politician from a party he disagrees with exaggerating the importance of an issue about which that politician felt strongly. As for the education department thing, I reckon even the UK DfE should be abolished, and that actually has a role. In the US education is a state responsibility, so why do they (you?) have a federal department? The GOP is not my party. First I am not American, second I am libertarian. I am just amazed that just because a left-wing idiot quotes Republicans while doing stupid things people assume that the quotes are stupid. Mentioning the Democrats was just to point out that you have a President/VP pairing that has given us the richest vein of idiotic quotes ever (personally and through their groupies), many of which would also be more amusing in this video. |

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 4:41:56 PM Gerry: I agree, Anyone remember why the Dept. of Energy was started ? Jimmy Carter started it with the goal of ending America's dependency on foreign oil. 40 years later and we are more dependent on it now than ever and the Dept. of Energy now has it's greasy hands into nearly everything. |

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 4:37:32 PM ...well. the same can be done for Liberals, and Independents, and Fascists, and, well, oh, right, the politicians of _any party_ This would be because, boys and girls, politicians are stupid, self-centered egotistical bastards who seriously look out for no one but themselves. Anyone who seriously gets behind any current party's leaders (not the party, duh) is insane. Oh, and making videos like this, that only focus on one side, is NOT helping the problem, it's only making the other idiots look better by virtue of omission. I will never understand this hatred between parties either =/ It's stupid. |

MildCorma - "lets roll with "we believe in abolishing the department of education". Yep, pretty sure it's retarded whichever way you look at it. " Dept. Of Ed. was created to integrate schools and make sure States comply with Cival Liberties Act. Well, now that that's done what do they do? The don't fund schools. They don't set national standards. They issue money for many stupid ass studies of how schools are failing, which we already knew. This is a major problem with U.S. government. Once they start a program, the can't end it when it's no longer necessary. Like Affirmative Action. Dept. of Ed. is outdated, useless, powerless. Get rid of it.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 10:38:40 AM @randomxp Ok, lets roll with "we believe in abolishing the department of education". Yep, pretty sure it's retarded whichever way you look at it. How about "Gay marriage is going to be the biggest issue..."? Nope, still sounds like someone wants to make it more of an issue than it really should be. To be honest I can see how some of these are misquotes, but then I can also see how some of them are actually stupid things to say. Apparently it's impossible for people to take things with a little bit of salt around here. So they ripped republicans? I'm not sitting here going "yay democrats!", i'm saying some of those things were stupid and others not. You can't blanket the whole video like "BUT THEY TAKE LIBERTIES WITH MY PARTY SO I MUST GET OFFENDED". This is why most republicans make me facepalm hard, they always use logic and sense! HAH |
