That said yes she should be taken away, but maybe taken to another family member/friend of family to give as little stress/damage as possible than what has already been caused. |

Back when I first heard the headline, I thought the mother must be nothing to look at if she's imposing her own fubar version of beauty on her daughter. This video interview with the mom in it confirms that notion.

Why would a little girl need Botox anyway? I don't think it's worthy of taking the girl away just because of that tho. I'm sure there were other reasons. |

Hopefully it will be a deterrent for other mothers who are thinking about doing this sort of thing to their kids. If they are too self-absorbed to think of the well-being of their kids, they'll think of their own desire not to go to jail or have their kids taken away from them. |

It's not that we're inherently ignorant (no sh-t, sherlock...how can we NOT be ignorant if we don't know something?), but we're preserving the...'lesser intelligent'. Warning labels on f-cking EVERYTHING, and then rewarding them with lots of money when they still figure out new ways to hurt themselves. Then at the hospital, we do everything in our f-cking power to keep them alive, and it only serves to move the never-ending stupid cycle forward. |

Yes she is very ill guided and it's a horrible thing to put an 8 year old child through. But separating them, when the child doesn't seem to show any resentment towards her mother, is surely more damaging to both of them than the mother just having counselling and being closely watched?...
That's my view from the stuff I've seen on IAB, so there may be loads of other reasons for the decision which I don't know about. |

Sure they could have told her to stop but you're missing the point. The point is this mother is endangering her daughter with botox injections just to increase her chances of winning a pageant. You have to wonder what else she would be willing to do TO HER daughter to win. This mothers priorities are severely skewed.
As for the "not beating the crap out of her" statement, that's not the only type of child abuse out there. Believe me, taking the daughter away is a good thing for now. Maybe her mother can get counseling now to get her mind right and then the two could be reunited in a healthier relationship. |

oh my god! the mum is a retard. and I'm saying this because shes obsessed with the pageant thing and wants her child to win, she admits its a tough in the pageant world. ok so don't enter your bloody child then!! shes only doing it because other mums in the pageant told her to do it. FFS. *facepalm* |

I read that the father was 79 years old when she was born and died 4 years later at 83.
Something about that gives me even more doubt about the mother.... |
