Util beat me to it. This is so incredibly stupid. That woman who mentioned sex pretty much summarised the problem. Not all nudity has to be sexualised. David isn't humping anyone, so I don't really see what the problem is. People need to get a grip. Their kids aren't going to be scarred for life because they saw a statue with a penis. |

Wow... These neighbors need something better to do with their time.
There are replicas of Michelangelo's David in public spaces all over the world, including this example from Delaware Park in my hometown of Buffalo, NY:
Counting the base, it's nearly 15 feet tall (5 metres for you Euros). It's visible from not just the park itself, but also a four-lane highway that rins along the park's northern edge. It's been on open public view for 110 YEARS.
Those neighbors really need to get a clue. The woman who implied that her SON had never seen a penis made me laugh. |
