I actually like the interior design in Home Alone better, so warm and comforting.
Also, you're damn right I would buy it. I'd give 'em 2.5 million and say: Keep the change, ya filthy animal. |

@Deviros - I said the same thing to myself, thinking maybe it was lens distortion.
I think it could be they built a set in a studio to do extra filming, or they found that, that part of the house was not suitable to film in.
Here are some things I noticed.
The hallway is easily 2x larger, the movie image has a chair and a rug with room to spare. The house has a slim table with barely any room.
Above the blonde ladies head you can see the stair case rises to make a large ceiling while in the house its standard height
The open door in the movie set opens the opposite way.
Back arch is different, above the arch is different, above that the stairway railing is not wide enough in the center.
This one could be perspective, but the bottom step looks longer(from front to back) then the step in the movie image.
All of this stuff is some serious remodeling(except the door) |

@rynEnigma - at first i was like "no, i think it's just a trick the cinematography played," but you're right - it's waaaaay off.
Either not the same room, or someone did some pretty big adjustments. |

I think some of the pictures aren't taken from the same exact vantage point, just in the same area. It's also possible that they had work done on the house in the intervening years. |

There is something fishy going on in image number 8. Please tell me I am not the only one who sees this. Sure the movie was.. idk.. 15 years ago, but look at the arch under the stairs. And the width of the landing on the stairway half way up. They are not even close. I can keep going on about things that dont match up but I want to hear what you have to say. |
