its weird to see Vesperian Sorrow on here, and crazy to see them at #21 since a good buddy of mine plays the synthesizer and is back-up vocalist for them. didn't realize they had made such a good name for themselves. i had no idea   |

This list has lost all credibility. This album should be #3, at least. It kind of redeems itself with Powerslave at #14, but I still haven't heard of most of the bands on the list, so no.

No Megadeth, Melissa is the album they chose for Mercyful Fate? Return of the Vampire was way better and why not throw in a King Diamond album like Abigail or The Eye? Good choice for Vesperian Sorrow and #1 was spot on. |

@theeric: I could say that Among the Living would be epic to me man. It's hands down Anthrax's best album, but every song is as good as the next. That's epic to me. |

When I saw that Manowar outranked Iron Maiden's Beast, I got annoyed. I'll give Black Sabbath their props for Paranoid, but still prefer Iron Man (yes, I know it's cliche). |

You couldn't even give Bathory enough respect if you put in three albums. I'm pretty sure they are black metal too.

I grew up with that Sabbath record in the 80's, it was one of my favorites, and I have to say they deserve some recognition for it when you really listen to it and realize what year they were doing that in. It's easy to see why some say they started heavy metal, and it's kind of mind blowing to know they were singing that stuff when all that was on the radio was the Beatles. |

Forget Metallica. Yes, interesting and good musicianship, but MoP just doesn't smack of "Epic" to me. (Not a flamer, I swear, I just dislike Metallica.)
Try the Metal Shakespeare Company, instead. These guys are epic. |

List is complete crap, haven't heard of half the bands listed. Only saw one (maybe 2) Sabbath albums, only 1 Metallica album. Whoever created this list needs to have their ears checked. |
