A friend of mine used one of these on his dog. It had settings up to 10. I was curious, as I am apt to be, and tried it out starting on one. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain.
I couldn't get past setting 4. Drunk I probably could have gone higher...but there is no way I would ever use one on an animal. No substitute for proper pack training.
Now, I'll tell you where these are really useful: training your girlfriend. "Sandwich, now!" |

I hate every person who puts one of these their dog. I work with dogs and I can't tell you how many times I've had dogs come in with burn-scarred necks from shock collars. Glad these idiots are punishing themselves though.. |

I can't help it-I laughed.
I have seen what one of these collars did to a friend's Doberman- she was left with the collar on unattended, and the shock prongs had literally burned into her throat. I personaly would not use one on my dog. |
