Friday, May 06, 2011 8:08:00 PM I've been a vegetarian since I was 12 years old. Not once have I ever related them to humans, and I never will. I have much more intelligent argument than that. I mind my own business about my own diet unless someone asks me, unlike PETA. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 7:06:05 PM @Musuko42 It's not my fault that you don't know enough about vegetarians or vegans. Your definitions are wrong. Why don't you go to a vegan or vegetarian site and educate yourself rather than continuing to be wrong? Here, I'll help you: Vegan: Does not use any animal product in any way. It is *not* limited to eating. For example, a vegan will not wear leather shoes. Vegetarian: Various subsets. Some will not eat any animal products (but might still use animal products in other ways, like those leather shoes). Some will not eat animal flesh but will eat other animal products. They are often referred to as lacto-ovo vegetarians. Some vegetarians will eat fish but not land animals, which seems like an odd distinction to make. You're criticising me for being right because you don't know enough about the subject to know that you're wrong. That makes me laugh. At you. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 9:15:32 AM Wow, honestly didn't know people still cared about Maddox. I stopped caring about him in 2005. I'm going to say what i always do on topics like this. I'm a vegetarian. I hate PETA. They're a bunch of hypocritical, brainwashing, idiots. I think people should have the right to choose their own diets, which is why I don't try to tell people that vegetarianism is a "superior" diet. I also hate it when people try to convince me that vegetarianism is wrong. No diet is superior to the other. Eating meats has just as many benefits as not eating meat. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 7:18:44 AM @Angilion "Not all VEGETARIANS are lacto-ovo VEGETARIANS. LActo-ovo VEGETARIAN is a subset of VEGETARIAN." Vegetarians don't eat animal flesh. Vegans don't eat any animal products. You were talking about vegans, and you know it. You got caught out being dumb, and you're trying to back peddle to cover yourself. And in doing so, you end up looking even dumber. It's pretty funny, actually. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 6:35:24 AM @Musuko42: Not all VEGETARIANS are lacto-ovo VEGETARIANS. LActo-ovo VEGETARIAN is a subset of VEGETARIAN. Since you and Mildcorma were talking about VEGETARIANS without any qualification about what kind of VEGETARIAN you were referring to, I took it as a general reference that covered all VEGETARIANS. If you only meant to refer to some VEGETARIANS, you should have said so. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 5:38:37 AM @Angilion You can get B12 from dairy. So while this is a problem for vegans, it is not for vegetarians; and the statement from Mildcorma was: "Long story short: If being a VEGETARIAN provided you with everything you needed, then supplements wouldn't be required." (capitalisation emphasis mine). Vegetarians don't need suppliments for B12 if they are eating dairy, and it was vegetarians that Mildcorma and I were talking about, not vegans. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2011 5:11:40 AM Obviously animals aren't people, but as a meat eater who recently watched "Meat Video: What the meat industry doesn't want you to see", I am seriously off meat for a while o.o Meat Video |

Tuesday, April 26, 2011 9:33:49 PM This was funny as fcuk. But a serious point- animals might not be people, but there's no reason to believe that they don't suffer pain the same as people. I'm not against eating meat, but the animals we eat do deserve to be treated humanely. |

Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:46:58 PM "Who have fought more wars than probably any country on Earth and won most of them. Can you find any example of the French surrendering other than WW2?" The last time the French won a war was in the 18th century... and that is only because their enemy was also French. Just sayin. |

Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:02:53 PM Apply the mind telling us we're in danger, and we started to run from things, and got really good at running for a long time. This evolved into the french. Who have fought more wars than probably any country on Earth and won most of them. Can you find any example of the French surrendering other than WW2? That was down to a political failure, not a military one. Many French soldiers who could make the journey retreated to Britain and joined the British military to carry on fighting. Large numbers of French people worked for the resistance, either undercover (and under constant threat of torture and death) or openly where geography made it possible (the Maquis). |

Tuesday, April 26, 2011 5:52:54 PM Suppliments AREN'T required, if you eat right. No matter how well you eat, you need either animal products or supplements. At the very least, you need them for B12. Which is essential for life. You can get it from the dung of some animals in some circumstances, which I guess is probably an acceptable animal product for a vegetarian, but personally I'd prefer supplements. B12 supplements are made by bacteria in factory labs, so even a vegan should be able to accept that. Someone is bound to say that B12 is in brewer's yeast. Sure it is - when the manufacturers put it there. The rest, yes, you can get from even a vegan diet if you know what you're doing and you take enough care (though calcium in particular will be a problem), but there are no vegetable sources of B12 usable to humans. Unless a cow has pooped on them. |
