In 1970, Keith Sapsford, a 14-year-old boy, died after falling from the wheel-well of a Tokyo-bound Japan Air Lines DC-8 taking off from the Kingsford Smith Airport at Sydney, Australia.

Believe it or not a kid in Charlotte, NC airport JUST did this in the past week. They weren't sure how he got past security either. |

not sure this could happen these days with the increased security around airports, but when i worked airside at heathrow in the early 90's i know of more than one case of people who had frozen to death in the wheel well of arriving aircraft |

@FeelTheRide can you see the third window from left? The rear wheels are positioned below that. It can be seen in the pic too. The plane is moving atleast 150 -180 mph, thats why he is far from the wheels. |
