Thursday, April 21, 2011 11:26:46 AM >>>NottaSpy, it was used, and even if it hadn't been, shouldn't the fact that it was written at all raise some alarm?<<< How do you know it was used? Recall that in Florida THERE WERE PAPER BALLOTS AND THEY WERE COUNTED OVER AND OVER. EACH TIME BUSH WON. Get over it.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 5:03:23 PM Not THAT misleading of a title. You needed to watch through the entire video. "she said: 'you don't understand, we need to hide the fraud in the source code. Not reveal the fraud, because we need to control the vote in south Florida.' is what she said." "That's what she said?" "That's what she said." "To your knowledge, was this used?" "I...have no idea. I was ready to leave, so.." |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 1:30:40 PM It would be a simple matter to insert the necessary code, have it automatically self destruct the day after the election. Leave no evidence at all. The only way to find out for sure would be to actually count all the little paper receipts manually. That'll never happen. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 1:03:17 PM You misunderstood what I was saying. I know there are accusations of election tampering in 2004. I know how computers work. My problem is with the title of this thread. Programmer Admits Under Oath Elections Are Rigged Programmer Admits Under Oath Elections Are Rigged. Computer programmer cites the ease at which elections can be and have been rigged. The title states that this programmer testified that the election WAS rigged. Nowhere in this video does he say that. He said he wrote a program that ->COULD<- rig an election. He did not say it was used. He said the whole system was vulnerable to tampering, but he ->DID NOT<- say that it had been. Before I accuse Bush of stealing 2004, I want to see proof. This video didn't tell me anything new and is certainly not proof that it happened. Also, people claiming that they voted for Kerry and saw the machine register Bush is also not proof. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 12:11:08 PM Anyone remember the video where some people trained monkeys to hack into the voting machines and edit the record? Doesn't mean the monkey's rigged the election.... |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 11:57:53 AM @NottaSpy If they wrote the code to change the vote, it would/should not change the GUI interface. He talked about two ways. 1: The central tabulator that all machines talk to simply says oh the guy we wanted to win lost by 4%, change it 51% for our guy. 2nd way was to put it on every machine that would make sure after every vote was cast, your guy was up by 1%. No programmer in their right mind would change a simple "if(gBushJr < 51%) gBushJr = 51%; jKerry = 49%" <---(pseudo code) to also reflect that on the screen. (granted it would take very little to change the on screen visuals) but why add that chance of people seeing something, and why write more code than needed? |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 11:35:21 AM @<2000 general election rigged crowd> Gore lost one too many small states. Are you going to claim those elections were rigged as well? I want to see some hard evidence. I want to see source code. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 11:03:59 AM "Bush' second term was a Supreme Court decision, more than a "US election" as i recall it." You mean, Bush Jr.'s first term. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 9:42:48 AM I'm surprised it has reached a court. That US elections are rigged, is no surprise to anyone. Bush' second term was a Supreme Court decision, more than a "US election" as i recall it. This alone should ring a huge alarm bell regarding actually how important the idea of democracy really is. Computer votes, punching cards and broken ballots. You've got to be kidding me. I recall the Simpsons parody about Homer trying to vote. I think it hit the nail. |

@NottaSpy - follow up on the story. Google it. The program was used. People reported voting for John Kerry and having the computer log BUSH right in front of them on the screen. |

@sbeelz - the media did report it. I watched it on CNN. I'm sure MSNBC would cover it 'cause they are so anti-GOP and pro Democrat party. But I think Brad Pitt was breaking up with Jenifer Aniston at that time so naturally, that's a much more important story and Americans were distracted. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 9:37:37 AM He did NOT say that elections had been rigged. He said he wrote a program that COULD rig an election. He did not say that it was used. The title of this thread makes a serious accusation, but it is not backed up by the video. |

Tuesday, April 19, 2011 8:35:00 AM @Gerry1of1- maybe the public would have been up and arms about it if they'd actually have known, but the fact is most people never heard about this because the corporate media didn't touch it. This should have been the lead story in every paper and on every news network- I can think of little else that might have been happening at the time that would have had more importance to the majority of Americans. But the story was ignored. A population won't make intelligent political decisions when they're being fed a load of BS by the news organizations that are charged with keeping them informed. Of course people treat me like a conspiracy theorist whenever I say a bad word against the corporate media- but if you can't see the way in which they manipulate public opinion, you're blind. |
