Cleavage is part of someone's physical attributes, this deserves the same sort of interest you would give a post about showing multiple chins. Snarky, but not inappropriate. |

$100 says that either a woman or a republican compiled that list. No real man would consider more than about 3 of those to be either inappropriate or at least gross.
As far as the Katy Perry incident on Sesame Street goes, it was far more inappropriate to pander her sleazy music to children. The first verse of the real songs says "Yeah, you PMS like a Bitch". Do we really want to be sensationalizing this kind of music for children? THAT is more inappropriate. |

All that is achieved by freaking out over cleavage being shown around children is to give them even more neuroses about how "shameful" nakedness is.
I've always been annoyed, as well, by how we only get two options: dress like a nun or be seen sexually. I wish there was a way to dress lightly but still come off as non-sexual. |

I've never considered cleavage to be inappropriate, however there is some cleavage I would rather not see. I'm lookin' at you Germany. Actually I'm not, I'm lookin' away, far far away, or one spot up. |

Angilion, I have a great example for you. Scott Brown the republican somehow won the senate in Massachusetts despite many jokes about his old male modeling days and a popular picture of him posing completely naked (with the view of his junk blocked.) If a woman who posed naked as a model tried to run for office there's no way she'd get far.
That's a great example of something different. The photo was past, not present, i.e. he wasn't (not) dressing that way as part of his campaign, nor did he appear on TV like that.
I agree with your point, at least for the USA, but it's not the same point. |
