Friday, April 15, 2011 5:01:34 PM @auburnjunky Phuck that, people should almost never call the cops and handle their own problems. Unless someone tried to rape, kill or kidnap you calling the cops is totally unnecessary. |

Friday, April 15, 2011 11:31:34 AM "drating cops, your a school bus driver, part of your drating job is to deal with parents with concerns about what happens on YOUR BUS" My wife is a school bus driver, and this is not the case. If a parent gets Irate, you ask them to leave the bus. If they do not comply, you call the police, period. After this, you are not allowed to talk to the parent. |

Friday, April 15, 2011 11:24:14 AM There was a term in the Navy, pretty sure it was called escalation of force, which said you could only use equal or lesser force against a threat, i.e., you couldn't use a 9mm beretta against a guy with a stick, but you also had to use all possible lesser weapons against him. This was within reason as well; you didn't have to use pepper spray if the threat was shooting at you. The cops seem to be tasing people left and right who aren't compliant. I know cops deal with a lot of poo but I don't think it would have taken a hostage negotiator to get that woman off the bus. Definitely didn't need 20 cops yelling at her at the same time. |

Friday, April 15, 2011 10:06:11 AM WTF? The bus driver reported her as an "irate parent"? IRATE? Really??? That implies so many wrong things which is why, what... a DOZEN cops showed up to apprehend a small woman who has not demonstrated that she is a threat in any way. She seemed very composed for someone who had concerns about her daughter's treatment. Whether or not she went to the right place to voice her concerns, she approached the driver in a civil manner. The least he could have done was tell her calmly that he had a schedule to keep, and give her a way to contact him or his superiors at the "right" time and place. AND he KNEW he was being recorded. What a jackass. Just based on his behavior alone, I'll take the daughter's side. |

Friday, April 15, 2011 12:24:43 AM She deserved it. Get off private property/vehicle when commanded and follow police orders. Is it really that hard? Then file a complaint later like a civilized adult. |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 9:59:02 PM That's sad :( I understand she wants to stand up for her daughter, and she has every right to do so. However, she should have listened to the police. In fact, she could have just reported the incident directly to them, but you can't blame the officers or the driver because both of them are doing their job. |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 8:22:43 PM Very heroic to stand up for her daughter, but maybe taken too a bit of an extreme. The bus driver could have handled it better but she did insult him. To refuse an officer a simple request is not smart. The whole episode is a bit tragic, imo. |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 8:16:13 PM how can you people defend this woman? she shouldn't have been on the bus, she refused to get off, she resisted police officers. she was the defiant one, not the driver. that poor guy is just trying to do his job and get those kids to school and she is stopping him from doing that. she should have gone to the school board, principle, or started driving her kid to school instead of causing a scene and arguing with police officers |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 7:32:50 PM What a bunch of non-nice individuals! This woman is daring to defend her daughter and then the police violently arrest her in front of her child. Disgusting. |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 6:01:14 PM That's her DAUGHTER. What would you do? She was reasonable enough when she confronted him then he called her daughter a liar. Regardless of whether or not she is a liar, that woman is still a good, concerned parent who is going to defend her daughter. Police went too far. |

Thursday, April 14, 2011 5:07:41 PM She seemed polite and reasonable enough when dealing with that dick of a bus driver. If he had just been reasonable enough to calmly explain what he sees from her daughter everyday she could have left, either in agreement or disagreement. |
