Re: Paper MarioWhat you have there is promotional artwork for Paper Mario 2. It is in no way representative of the artwork in the first game (and is also fairly different from the actual in-game artwork in screenshots of the second). As someone who owns Paper Mario let me just say this: it may be a 3D environment, but they are most definitely using sprites, something that even a quick Google Image Search would have confirmed.
