i am proud to say this movie is in my collection. along with Jodorowsky's other mind-bending feature 'El Topo' the trailer for which can be found on youtube or at the end of this post. the legend is that John Lennon saw El Topo several years after its release and wanted to finance Jodorowsky's next feature. he fought hard and Holy Mountain was made. And there is supposed to be a sequel, but i'm guessing he won't be allowed to get away with so much madness, which is unfortunate. link: El Topo Trailer |

Nope. I'll take a nice 3-piece tweed suit and cravat topped with a trilby over my disgusting physique any day. And I want to turn "naked" movies off after watching them for more than 10 minutes. Seeing bush, ass and balls for more than a few times gets old and annoying.

I own the movie, it has a lot of subtle idea crammed into some crazy visualizations, and the soundtrack is amazing, but its not for people without patients and a deeper understanding of the world than can be provided by an iphone. |

oh and artsy films are naked because if you're trying to achieve a naturalistic impression of a human figure theres nothing that impedes that more than clothes. clothes are horrendous compared to the masterpiece that is the human body. |

It is frustrating seeing this much artistic illiteracy. Nothing but morons commenting on things they dont understand, which is ironic when you watch and understand what the film is about.

I love his films but he uses a lot of the same metaphors for religion and humanity in some of his other films. El Topo, Santa Sangre, etc. |
