@ OldOllie, Fake outrage is fake outrage. Fox news channel hosts this show. You might consider sending a resume to Bill O'Reilly. He needs help in his (no) spin zone.

iaburton, Fox and Friends isn't supposed to be a "news" program any more than the Today Show or Good Morning America. Like them, it's a morning talk show that's mostly just entertainment. They were having a laugh at the wording on the package, not the concept of colors to match skin tones different races. Did you somehow fail to notice that Michelle Malkin is a "person of color" herself? If you want to hear rage, tune in to MSNBC's primetime hatefest.

And why don't they teach these kids how to blend colors? After all, this was done with crayons before the introduction of "multicultural" colors.

OldOllie, I think why this is relevant is because this is supposed to be a "news" program discussing crayons... I know they're saying that it's because "multiculturalism" is evil but they're just people colored?

You can't say that it isn't a little ridiculous for a NEWS program to be up in arms about something so minuscule sensitive mister sensitivity.

"It's just goofy!"

Oh, yeah, that sounds like "rage" to me. Jesus Christ, you Fox haters are so f***ing weak.

These people clearly don't remember what it was like to be a kid. Getting the skin colour looking realistic was the holy grail of drawing people properly. Mine always looked like burn victims.

I remember when I was in school, it was so hard to color people the colors I wanted them to be. I'm glad these are around. Lol they're just people-colored.

Heaven forbid children should have more coloring options when representing people of different races. The horror.

If your child is coloring everyone blue, then your child is probably retarded.

For those of us who were actually good at art as children, it's nice to have colors that actually match skin tones. That was always basically the hardest thing to get right with rainbow colors.

From an artists standpoint, I'm glad kids finally have this option.

People aren't just one color.
We need a box of assorted body-part colors

Areola Red
Vulva Pink
Urethra Yellow
Scrotum Scarlet
Clitoris Tan

ummmm... that's all I got.
Add to that if you want.

From the video: "I understand that perhaps this is pandering more to liberal parents..."

Yes, because children of conservative parents would never want to be able to draw a human who doesn't look like a freaking martian.

Even when I was 6, the lack of proper skin tones drove me nuts. We had "flesh," and it was useless for coloring anyone of any race, unless you wanted them to end up looking like a naked mole rat. If kids WANT to draw their friends in blue, I think that's great--but at least now they have a few more options.

Or at least that would be the ideal setup. Unfortunately, if you look into the details, it turns out the colors of the 8 crayons in the similar "multicultural" crayon set are: black, sepia, peach, apricot, white, tan, mahogany and burnt sienna. Which I'm pretty sure have been in crayola crayons, with one name or another, for decades.

Maybe the marker set is different, since it doesn't seem to have ass

"perhaps this is pandering more to liberal parents than to kids that have no need for such things"

what this translates to in news speak

liberals, no need for such things

and no, none of you turned out ok at all, you lie and influence peoples opinion in a very destructive way, you are all very horrible people who do not have the capacity to understand how horrible you really are.

@ tommy 2x4:Come on dude... "Fire Engine Red"?

You're older than me, and I had boxes of Crayola crayons that had "Indian Red" and "Flesh".

Flesh was indeed insulting, because it only came in one color... and I'll let you guess what racial group most closely identified with that color.

Apparently Fox & Friends decided to just ridicule the product, and not the history that eventually led to the release of this product... 35-40 years AFTER Crayola discontinued "Flesh" crayons.

It's not like Crayola got rid of all their other products and now only stocks these colours.

Kinda stupid it was on tv ;l

Really folks, this is an improvement. I used to color Native Americans fire engine red, Japanese, canary yellow, and Africans coal black. So now our grandchildren will have more realistic colors to portray their friends. Put that in your hate pipe and smoke it!

So what's next? Buying a box of colored crayons and having protests for using the word colored.
