What makes you think that it's just the high that numbs the pain? You have absolutely no data whatsoever to back that up. Also, your claim that only religious people think it's immoral to get high has absolutely no credibility whatsoever. I know for a fact that my own mother, who is very much an Atheist in every sense of the word, is extremely against using any kind of mind-altering substance for recreational purposes. And yes, that includes caffeine. Oh, and she has a nursing degree, and so is very much a scientific person who is very comfortable dealing with drugs and other medicines on a daily basis.
Personally, I enjoy smoking marijuana myself and I believe it should be legalized. Which is probably the reason why I can not stand the spreading of misinformation about marijuana. That goes for both sides of the argument. |

I agree with others here. if they can remove the spaciness from weed then why not with others? There is a real need for effective pain meds with no dopiness attached. |

If this is true it would be amazing for people like me that suffer from chronic pain but still have to be functional. I have a child to take care of and refuse to attempt it while high on pain medicine so I suffer all day until my husband gets home from work. |

pharmaceutical companies just can't stand that they do not have a monopoly on marijuana. I hate to imagine all the additives they would put in their pills. Why do they care if this produces a High? If that's the case then why not 'fix' all the other stupid pills they make? How many people do you know that abuse Oxycontin or xanax? Why do they? Because they like the feeling they get. EXACT same reason some people smoke weed.

I'm willing to bet this doesn't actually work, and will be proved not to work at all on sufferers of MS, arthritis or conjunctivitis. More pointless and boring drugs from official sources. Legalise both this and proper weed and be done with it. Although I'm betting legalising proper weed will cancel out the need for this.
Also, if this is legalised it will be an absolute hypocracy. If this is legalised then it means the law is in place only because "Getting high is wrong" which is bullpoo as pointed out by NitroJunkie.
It's my body, quite frankly, mine, nobody elses, just mine and I'll do whatever the hell I want as long as I'm not causing harm to your body! |
