That would be a lot of room if you were on a navy ship.
$700 is what I'm asking for my 1400 sq. ft. 1st floor Railroad.
But it is in Upstate and 10 mi. N. of Albany.

My point is: if that's the case, you can hardly claim yourself superior over those who have to buy small for a lot of money: we don't have a time machine, we can't go back and buy when you bought.

nah its cool, i will pay $1100 that i pay now to live in Queens with 10ft ceilings and a view of manhattan out my window, with a large kitchen, livingroom and bedroom, i gladly pay $400 more than she does and have all the benefits of normal living minus the cramped up claustrophobic elevator apartment. and i have all the things she has except 20 min away by subway, i think thats a WIN on my part, LOVE YOU NYC (QUEENS) |

I'm glad she's happy with it, but I just don't understand the sacrifice. What is the point of living in NY City just so you can say you live in NY City? You look out your window and you see... windows. If I was still living on my own, I could see trying to live in a small space, but now I've gathered a family and animals. |

I have seen bedsits smaller than this. It is fine- no good for me, but I have family and animals. I also have no desire to live in a town.

Actually, I think this looks like a great place to live! We really don't need that much space. People who have 1000+ sq ft homes probably spend most of their time in a very small section of them.
This also forces you to keep only the important things, instead of endlessly acquiring more and more crap that just goes into storage. |

I used to live in a studio smaller than this in LA. The bed was in the wall sticking out into a garage. Paid $175 in 1976, was right on the beach in Redondo could even see the waves if I shoved my head against the bathroom screen. |
