Thursday, March 31, 2011 7:40:27 PM *sigh* Overstimulation. First they space out, then they switch off. See how he looks away from everything? He's switching off to cope. Instead, do this. |

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:36:19 PM This doesn't surprise me. My baby sister used to absolutely love it when I played System of a Down. |

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 5:45:24 AM My first baby used to like the dulcet tones of Marilyn Manson & Prodigy...very loudly. She particularly liked singing along to "Smack My B**ch Up" when she got a bit older. It depends a bit on what they were listening to in utero. Number two had a thing for Rammstein. Number three likes Yo Gabba Gabba. I'm a bad mummy... |

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 5:22:38 PM THOSE ARE THE EYES OF SATAN. (I'm never having kids... I could barely stand the first few seconds of crying.) Good choice of music, though. \m|_ |

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 5:13:21 PM I would guess that the reason this works is because the wall of noise created by death metal is similar to what fetuses conceive in the womb to be a loud whirring sound, similar to a vacuum cleaner. Most babies younger than 3 months can be put almost instantly to sleep if you make a loud "sshhh" sound in their ear. Try it if you have the means!!! |

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 4:25:55 PM Any loud distracting noise calms baby's. Housewives have known about this for years. Their weapon of choice? A vacuum. |

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 3:04:41 PM "Even his cry sounds Norwegian" There was a study and it found that babies cry with accents. |
